The Garden of the Gods - Kanas

📍 Kanas 🌲 ✨ Known as the "Garden of the Gods," Kanas was selected by National Geographic as one of the 50 must-visit places in the world. Kanas Scenic Area is located in the middle of the Altai Mountains in Xinjiang. It has 55 scenic spots 🌄, including the Kanas National Nature Reserve, Kanas National Geopark, and Baihaba National Forest Park, among many other natural and cultural attractions. 📍【Location】 Kanas is located in the northern part of Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang. It is a place full of mystery. 🌳【Attractions】 ✅ Kanas Lake: This is the core attraction of Kanas. The lake water is a charming blue-green color, like a huge gem. The surrounding mountains are lush with trees, creating a beautiful contrast with the lake water. You can choose to take a boat tour of the lake to experience its tranquility and beauty, or you can walk along the lakeside to enjoy the scenery. ✅ Guanyu Pavilion: Located on the left side of Kanas Lake, you can overlook the entire Kanas Lake and the distant green mountains and snow peaks from the pavilion. ✅ Shenxian Bay: A fairyland-like scenery with 🐫 small animals. If you want to see the fairyland-like Shenxian Bay, be sure to visit in the early morning when the entire bay is covered in a white veil. ✅ Moon Bay: Meandering through the valley, two footprints-like shoals have formed in the upper and lower river bays, known as the "footprints of the gods." Legend has it that these are the footprints left by Genghis Khan when he was chasing his enemies. ✅ Wolong Bay: Named for the small island in the lake that resembles a dragon playing in the water, the lake is surrounded by lush vegetation and colorful flowers, like a beautiful oil painting. 📅 Best hiking season: August and September 🛏【Accommodation Recommendations】 There are many unique wooden cabins and homestays in the scenic area, allowing you to better experience the natural scenery of Kanas. If you want a more comfortable accommodation, you can also choose to stay in a hotel outside the scenic area. 【Tips】 1. Sit on the left side of the bus for better views. 2. The shuttle bus service ends at 8 pm, so be mindful of the time. 3. Be sure to bring an umbrella, as the weather changes quickly. 4. If you have a high budget, you can stay in the scenic area. If you want a more cost-effective option, you can stay in Jiadengyu.
