Australia-Canberra /// Australian War Memorial

📍 Treloar Cres, Campbell ACT 2612 Indescribable wonder! It is larger and more complete than I expected. The parking lot is free for 4 hours. I also recommend that people who are interested in the World War or want to take their time to visit the exhibition should stay for at least two hours. In the outdoor part, there are images of different animals under the names of different countries on the wall. I asked the staff and they said these are the representatives of each country. When you walk into the museum, you can see four large pillars, made of glass, marble, metal and wood, representing The Air Pillar. This one is made of wood and has meanings related to flying, symbolizing the souls of the dead. The Fire Pillar, which is made of metal, means energy and passion, and symbolizes patriotism and courage. The Earth Pillar, which is made of marble, means eternity and power, symbolizing the ability to return to the earth we live on. The Water pillar is made of glass, like ice and colorless. Water is the source of life, symbolizing flow and change, connecting earthly life and the souls of the dead. The figures on the glass also have different meanings and represent different spirits. The museum is divided into two parts, namely World War I and World War II, and displays national weapons, costumes, badges, paintings, etc. during the war. There are interactive devices and machine guided tours, and you can borrow guided tour headphones. There are models of large aircraft, tanks, Nazi aircraft, etc., too many to list here! All in all, highly recommended. If someone asks me what must-see attractions are in Canberra, I would recommend two: the War Memorial and the National Parliament! #australian #war #memorial
