The footsteps of Du Fu.

Du Fu, courtesy name Zimei, was a great realist poet of the Tang Dynasty, and was later revered as the "Poet Sage". His life was deeply connected with many places, leaving behind a rich cultural heritage and numerous memorial sites. 1. Birthplace: Du Fu was born in Gong County, Henan (now Gongyi City, Henan Province), which was an important starting point in his life. In the Du Fu Hometown Scenic Area in Gongyi City, there is a 120-meter-long corridor, commonly known as the "Hundred-Meter Corridor", also known as the "Poet Sage Stele Forest", which gathers the calligraphy and paintings of famous artists from home and abroad, showcasing Du Fu's poetic achievements and his outstanding position in the history of Chinese poetry. 2. Du Fu Thatched Cottage in Chengdu: Du Fu's former residence in Chengdu, located at No. 38 Qinghua Road, Qingyang District, Chengdu, was Du Fu's residence during his stay in Chengdu. Here, Du Fu created famous poems such as "The Song of the Thatched Cottage Broken by the Autumn Wind". The Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum in Chengdu is the largest collection and exhibition center of Du Fu research materials and Du Fu's poetry and calligraphy in China, and is also an important platform for inheriting and promoting excellent Chinese poetry culture. 3. Leiyang, Hunan: Du Fu's tomb in Leiyang is located in the First Middle School of Leiyang City, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, and is Du Fu's clothing tomb. It is said that after Du Fu's death, his grandson went from Gong County, Henan to Hunan to mourn, and when he passed through Xiangyang, because this place was the ancestral home of the Du family, he built a clothing tomb to commemorate it. 4. Luoyang, Henan: Du Fu's ancestral home was Xiangyang (now part of Hubei), but by the time of his great-grandfather Du Yiyi, he moved to Gong County (now part of Henan) because he was the county magistrate of Gong County. Du Fu's grandfather Du Shenyan and father Du Xian also lived in Luoyang, so Luoyang is closely related to Du Fu. 5. Changsha: Du Fu lived in Changsha in his later years, and some of his poems reflect his life in Changsha. There is a Du Fu Jiang Pavilion on the banks of the Xiang River, which is said to be Du Fu's residence in Changsha, and has now become a cultural memorial site.
