Doi Inthanon National Park

Named after the 7th King of Chiang Mai, Doi Inthanon National Park covers an area of 1,500 square kilometers, almost the size of two Singapores. It includes Thailand's highest mountain range, with an average annual temperature of around 10 degrees Celsius at the summit. Even when hiking, remember to bring warm clothing. The mountain is rich in wildlife, especially birds and flowers. From Doi Inthanon, there is also a trailhead that leads directly to the Himalayas. In addition to trails, the mountain also features numerous waterfalls, with Mae Ya Waterfall to the south of Doi Inthanon being touted as the most beautiful waterfall in Chiang Mai. On the way down, you can see many farmers, supported by royal projects, selling their homegrown produce by the roadside, with seasonal fruits being the most popular.
