The most dangerous river in the world?

The Strid on the River Wharfe on the Bolton Abbey estate has become famous in recent years by being labelled as the most dangerous river in the world. The legend goes that the young son of the owner of the nearby Skipton castle tried to jump the Strid with his dog but unfortunately fell as was taken down by the water leading to his mother giving the land to the monks who built the abbey itself. Whether or not the legend is true the water here is bout violent and incredibly deep with sonar measuring it as 65m.
