Curious, I decided to take a look and exited the highway at Taoyuan. Turning right and driving forward for 200-300 meters, I reached the tourist distribution center of Taoyuan. After driving in and asking the staff, they warmly explained that their Flower Sea Amusement Park was nearby, just 200-300 meters straight ahead. Walking around the park, I felt much more relaxed, and it seems like a place where kids could play all day without getting bored. The staff told us that hidden deep in the mountains is a thousand-year-old ancient village (Dongban Ancient Village), ancient trees, and a castle, known as Anliang Fort. Following the navigation for about 8km, the scenery along the way was also very nice, full of greenery and fresh air, with a high negative ion content of over 8000 all year round. It took about 10-20 minutes to reach the entrance of the scenic area. Walking in, it truly felt like a paradise on earth, with various types of local ancient dwellings. The staff mentioned that the area occasionally hosts various events. They told us that recently, their scenic area was the filming base for the short drama 'A Single Blow to the City,' a sketching base for college students, a venue for orienteering competitions, and a research and study base for students. It seems they've really done a great job. Strolling through the ancient village, I felt like I was part of it, transforming into a member of the She ethnic group. Along the way, there were men and women dressed in She attire, looking beautiful and handsome. You can also rent She clothes for photo ops, and there are many great spots for taking pictures. Even a casual shot with a phone turns out well. First, we saw their ancient She medicine garden, a paradise for traditional Chinese medicine enthusiasts. For us ordinary folks, it's just nice to look around. Then we came to Fuyu Hall, which has a revolutionary heritage as the former site of the Red Ninth Army. Inside, there are stories about the martyrs, which are truly touching. The staff told us that there are usually special performances at the Fuyu Hall square in the morning and afternoon. We were lucky with our timing and saw a performance, which was absolutely amazing. Continuing the walk, we reached Ankun Bridge, where we could rest our feet. Sitting on Ankun Bridge was so cool, like being in an air-conditioned room on a summer day. Turning right from Ankun Bridge, we arrived at the distinctive ancient dwelling called the Witch Doctor's Residence. Its owner was a fifth-grade imperial physician and also the health guardian of the ancient village. Further inside, we saw the thousand-year-old tree that has witnessed the millennium changes of the ancient village. It is said that Emperor Qianlong also visited here and inscribed the title 'Thousand-Year Tree King.' You can also make a wish here, and it's said to be very effective. Next to it is the Dyeing Workshop, where you can experience the dyeing wisdom of the ancient She people. Here, you can also enjoy a cup of milk tea and watch a performance of 'climbing the knife mountain and descending into the sea of fire,' which is quite enjoyable. 200 meters ahead, you'll reach Anliang Fort, known as the Potala Palace of the South. The most famous part here is Anliang Fort itself, and I admire the wisdom of the ancients for building such a grand and bandit-proof house. Overall, it was a very nice self-driving trip.
