This is probably the meaning of a snowy pilgrimage. ✨Route Overview✨ Huangwan Tourist Center 🚌 → Leidongping (2-hr bus ride, with a 10-min stop midway) → 2-hr hike 🚶🏻 to Jieyin Hall → 0.5 hr climb to the Golden Summit → Cable car 🚠 back to Leidongping (8 min) 📸Must-See Sights ▶️Leidongping → Jieyin Hall A 3 km fairytale road in a snowy wonderland. Rime ice covers the branches of ancient trees, and snow buries the green stone steps. The crunching sound underfoot mixes with the bells of the ancient temple. It is recommended to arrive before 10 am! The morning light piercing through the ice crystals is super dreamy. ▶️The 2,000 steps up from Jieyin Hall Step into the world of *Frozen*. Breathtakingly beautiful! Rime ice forms giant crystal curtains. Ice glaze hangs from the eaves of ancient temples. Reaching Taiziping, the clouds suddenly part. Sunlight pierces the ice crystals, creating a shower of diamonds! ▶️Sea of clouds at Sheshen Cliff A 90% chance of encountering a sea of clouds after a fresh snowfall. 1–3 pm is the peak time for Buddha's light! Clouds surge at the edge of the cliff, wrapped in sunlight. The golden Buddha statue appears and disappears in the clouds. (⚠️The railings are icy, so be sure to keep a safe distance.) ▶️The spectacle of the Golden Summit of Samantabhadra As white snow covers the 48-meter-high gilded copper statue, Prayer flags flutter in the blue sky. Close your eyes and put your palms together, and even the cold wind becomes gentle. ▶️Iconic cable car scene above the clouds Suddenly, a "sunlit golden mountain" appears outside the panoramic glass! Sunlight outlines the snow-capped peaks in gold. Below is a vast sea of clouds. The whole cable car erupts in excitement! (‼️Remember to grab the last row of seats facing backward.) 🧭Survival Guide ✅Ice cleats are a must! The entire route from Leidongping to Jieyin Hall is an icy cliff road. Shoe covers + ice cleats are essential! It is recommended to purchase them online in advance. ✅Pack light: No need to wear too much. Hiking pants (with a thin fleece lining) for the lower body, and a 3-in-1 jacket + inner fleece for the upper body. You'll sweat while climbing and feel a little cold when you stop. Bring a thin down jacket to wear when it gets cold at the summit. Prepare some Snickers and a small thermos of hot water. Prices at the small shops along the way are exorbitant. ✅Photo tips: A bright scarf/fluffy hat will make your photos pop.
