Jile Temple

Jile Temple is located in Nangang District, Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, and was built in the twelfth year of the Republic of China. Harbin Jile Temple is one of the four famous Buddhist temples in the three northeastern provinces, alongside Changchun Prajna Temple, Shenyang Ci'en Temple, and Yingkou Lengyan Temple. Jile Temple is divided into four parts: the main temple, the east wing, the west wing, and the pagoda courtyard. The main buildings such as the mountain gate, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, and the Hall of Three Saints are distributed along the central axis. The mountain gate is archway-style. Passing through the mountain gate, there is a bell tower to the east and a drum tower to the west. In the middle is the first major hall of the temple—the Hall of Heavenly Kings, followed by the main hall—the Mahavira Hall, and then the Hall of Three Saints, with the Sutra Depository at the rear. The transportation near the temple is convenient. You can take buses 3, 6, 14, 33, 37, 53, 55, 66, 74, 92, 104, 105 to Harbin Institute of Technology station, or take the subway line 1 to the Engineering University station.
