Geese return to hover over Huiyan Peak

Although Huiyan Peak is less than a hundred meters in altitude, it stands as the foremost among the seventy-two peaks of Nanyue, proving the saying: 'A mountain need not be high; with immortals, it becomes famous.' The scenic area is not large, but it is a hidden dragon and crouching tiger, with many famous scholars and patriots having visited, studied, and composed poetry here. The first sight upon ascending the mountain is the Shangda Archway. The words 'Shangda' are said to have been written by a monk from Yanfeng Temple with a fire poker. The Yanfeng Temple on the mountain is grand in scale and bustling with incense offerings. The three characters for Huiyan Peak were penned by Tang Tianji, a veteran general from Hunan who graduated from the Whampoa Military Academy, which shows that the military leaders of the Republic of China period were not merely warriors!
