Hong Kong | A must-visit hiking trail in your lifetime

If you are a hiking beginner like me (a newbie), then you must read this guide! I've always heard that the second section of the MacLehose Trail is the most beautiful, but it's not easy, so it's really not simple to be able to arrange a hiking trip with sisters. We chose the simplest, relatively shortest and most relaxing route for beginners, and I'm going to share it with you today~ Preparation: 1. Comfortable hiking shoes are a must, with soft and thick socks. From spring to summer, there are mosquitoes, so try to wear long pants + a sun-protective coat; 2. Bring a hat and remember to apply a thick layer of sunscreen! The weather on the mountain is unpredictable, with sudden exposure to the sun followed by light drizzle, and even on cloudy days, there is a lot of ultraviolet radiation; 3. Bring enough water, and also bring enough light snacks! It takes 3-4 hours to find an exit, and although there are small shops at the camping sites for supplies, they are quite expensive. I personally suggest bringing at least two bottles of water; 4. Bring at least a few hundred Hong Kong dollars in cash, cash! In case you still need to spend money on something~ Route: 1. We took the MTR from Lok Ma Chau Station to University Station, then a taxi (within 30HKD) to the starting point at the East Dam of High Island Reservoir; 2. Along the way, the route is clearly marked, and every short distance you can see wooden arrow signs, it's a very mature hiking route, and there's no fear of accidentally getting lost on a small path; 3. We started into the mountains just after ten in the morning, with the endpoint ideally set at Tai Tan (ideal is plump), although while enjoying the wonderful scenery, all kinds of mountain and sea views, turning a corner is a different view and really beautiful, but this hiking route is still not very easy to walk, there are some climbing and other mountain roads, which are very energy-consuming. After passionately viewing the white sand beach, everyone's physical strength plummeted Halfway through, we encountered a wonderful exit down the mountain and followed other hikers out, lasting 4 and a half hours, exhausted to the point of collapse. After descending the mountain, we found a tea restaurant nearby to eat. The physical exertion was too much, and that meal was really fragrant!! It turns out that the wonderful thing about being a newbie in sports is having a good meal~
