Xiaopenglai

Xiaopenglai was first built 1,400 years ago during the Southern Dynasties (Liang Dynasty). It was originally part of the ancient Nengren Temple, providing a place for monks to cultivate and for pilgrims to rest. Today, Xiaopenglai features Penglai Pavilion, Nine-Bend Bridge, a wisteria trellis, a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree, twelve zodiac Taihu stones, and the Plum Pavilion. The 1,500-year-old ginkgo tree is known as one of the ten most beautiful ginkgo trees in Zhejiang Province.
