Overview - Location: Located on National Highway 214 in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, in the Caiyang River Valley east of Jinghong City and north of the Lancang River, about 8 km from the capital of Xishuangbanna Prefecture. - Area and topography: The park covers an area of 30,000 mu, with an altitude of 720–1,355 m and a forest coverage rate of 98.6%. - Honorary titles: Rated as a national 4A-level scenic spot in 2001, approved as a national forest park in 2005, awarded the China Forest Ecological Environment Service Certification in 2017, and successfully declared a "National Environmental Protection Science Popularization Base". Main attractions - Natural landscape: The park has a large area of tropical valley rainforest, where you can see natural phenomena such as "flowers on old stems" and plant strangulation, as well as the Jiulong Waterfall, which is very impressive as it cascades down from a high place. - Animal landscape: The peacock garden in the park is home to more than 400 green peacocks, and a peacock release event is held regularly every day, which is spectacular. In addition, there is a monkey breeding base where visitors can see monkeys playing and frolicking. - Cultural landscape: The park is characterized by the folk customs of the Hani-Aini people, with attractions such as the Ethnic Customs Garden and Aini Village, where visitors can enjoy ethnic song and dance performances and experience unique folk culture. Travel tips - Transportation: You can take a bus from the Agricultural Bank of China bus stop opposite the Jingyong Hotel in Jinghong City to the Flower Garden-Forest Park.
