Jinyun, Zhejiang is a hidden gem of a city that is often overlooked!

It was named after Emperor Xuanzong of Tang, Li Longji, who exclaimed, "This is truly a city of immortals" and wrote the words "Xiandu" (City of Immortals) in calligraphy. It is also the filming location for many TV shows and movies, such as "Chinese Paladin," "The Journey of Flower," and "Monk Comes Down the Mountain." Xiandu Scenic Area is located in Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province. The distance between attractions is 1–3 km, so it is recommended to drive. Parking is convenient and free. Opening hours: 7:30 am–5:30 pm Ticket price: CNY 90 Recommended attractions: 1. Dinghu Peak The only place in the scenic area where tickets are checked. This is the largest attraction in the scenic area, and the scenery is quite nice. There is also the Huangdi Temple and performances. Dinghu Peak cannot be climbed, but you can take a cable car up the mountain. However, it is not recommended, as it is not high enough to get a good view. 2. Zhutan Mountain The famous "Old Man Leading a Cow" is here, with Dinghu Peak in the distance. There are performances on weekends, where an old man leads a cow across the stone bridge. There are morning and afternoon performances. 3. Yandang Bookstore A "library" in a cave, with Himalaya audiobooks and a cafe. It is a great place to take photos. The sunlight shining on the cliffs is beautiful. 4. Xiandu Temple As the oldest temple in Jinyun, it is full of religious culture and is a great place to experience local history and beliefs. There are Taoist priests who can interpret your fortune. Travel tips: Tickets are only checked at Dinghu Peak, so if you don't go to this attraction, you can enter the scenic area for free. You can also see the peak from Zhutan Mountain. However, it is recommended to buy a ticket to support local tourism. The ticket price is not expensive, and the scenic area is worth it.
