Kamikochi in Summer!

Kamikochi is probably one of the best places in Japan to visit in Summer. Temperature is much cooler due to the higher altitude, hiking tracks ranging from beginner/family-friendly level, to professional levels. Only downside is that there's no direct access from the major cities. We stayed at Takayama this time, took 2 buses (about 1.5 hours journey in total) to reach kamikochi. It was still a wonderful experience :) #hiking #japan #kamikochi
