A Relaxed Kanchanaburi Getaway: 3 Days, 2 Nights

This trip we use the term 'relaxed' because it focuses on touring within Kanchanaburi town itself, emphasizing eating and sleeping. Thus, we chose accommodations in the town for both nights with the excellent services of trip.com. The first night we stayed at The Glory River Khwae and the second at Natee The Riverfront Hotel. Our criteria for selection were being in the town, riverside location, and having a soaking tub - a jacuzzi would be a great plus... We were not disappointed with either place, especially The Glory River Khwae, which won our hearts with two blankets provided, making sharing a bed for two a comfortable experience without fighting over the blanket. This was a highlight since we've stayed in hotels with large single beds. Natee The Riverfront Hotel had a very spacious bathroom with a fabulous jacuzzi. The river view from the bathroom was just right, enjoying the view while soaking both in the morning and evening. The breakfast did not disappoint either. For dining, we focused on town eateries, starting with KAAN River Kwai Restaurant, a newly opened place with a spacious building. Even without air-conditioning, lunch was pleasant, and the food was delicious, especially the coconut ice cream with caramelized banana. The restaurant Tong Kanchanaburi is also not to be missed, with fast service and tasty flavors. Me Kitchen & Bar offered a light dinner with delicious fried shrimp salad. A cafe with a paddy field atmosphere, clearly viewing the Tiger Cave Temple, is also a must-visit - Chan Nature Farm. I liked the decor with cacti. Truly a relaxed trip focused on eating and sleeping.
