River Kwai - organised tours, yay or nay?!

I recently visited Bangkok but knew that I wanted to make it outside of the capital city to see what else Thailand has to offer. So, I searched for an organised day tour to see what I could get up too! I love an organised tour as it often gives you the chance to see lots in a short period of time. Something that is important to me as I left my don’t have the luxury of appending a long time on a trip because of work. Whilst browsing the tours I came across a tour to the Kanchanburi region that would visit the River Kwai. Ideal! Having seen the movie and other media about the area it was perfect so I booked up and looked forward to a busy day. It was definitely a perfect way to see more of Thailand that wasn’t Bangkok or even the typical beaches people flock too. A train trip on the “death railway” was the highlight for me and it was highly enjoyable to see all of the beautiful Thai countryside. We finished the day at the bridge over the River Kwai and a trip in a long boat.
