Oxygenating Forest Trekking Adventure in Nigeria

The Lagos Botanical Garden offers a wild, natural experience, far from the typical image of a botanical garden with transplanted plants. It's a pristine swamp forest where sunlight filters through the leaves, creating a visible Tyndall effect due to the high humidity. Unfortunately, the urgency of the locals to keep moving meant I couldn't linger to take photos. The suspension bridge lacked safety measures, and monkeys were abundant. Caution is advised for potential encounters with crocodiles and snakes; the adventure is exhilarating, yet it can be too thrilling at times. Walking through the forest canopy is a refreshing experience, despite the intense heat of the sun. With full anticipation, I took a break to savor the moment. This trekking adventure is a testament to African life and travel, a journey through a baby food forest, and a memorable entry in my forest park and outdoor trekking diary.
