2024 London Wish List Travel Notes (7) St. Paul's Cathedral.

When I was working in the UK before, I didn't carefully look for and admire the hidden St. Paul's Cathedral in the city center. This time I deliberately braved the sun and rain, and saw the spire of St. Paul's Cathedral at the corner. Then I followed the shadow and saw the magnificent Baroque St. Paul. I don't know much about religion, but the architectural art of this church can be intoxicating. St. Paul's Cathedral is a world-famous religious holy place, the fifth largest cathedral in the world, the second largest cathedral in the UK (the first is Liverpool Cathedral), and the cathedral is also the second largest dome cathedral in the world, ranking among the top five cathedrals in the world. St. Paul's Cathedral was first established in 604, and after several destructions and reconstructions, it was completed by the famous British designer and architect Sir Christopher Wren at the end of the 17th century. This is the greatest cathedral design in London, which took 35 years of hard work. Another architectural feature of St. Paul's Cathedral is that it is one of the few churches that are designed and built by only one person, rather than by many designers and architects. There is also a tombstone of Wren in the church, which reads "If you seek his monument, just look around" (if you are looking for his monument, just look around). There is also a law school with an extraordinary status. The St. Paul's Cross College located in the cathedral area is the first "parliament" in London. St. Paul's Cathedral is the religious center of London. The architecture is gorgeous Baroque style. It is the second largest dome cathedral in the world and was built at the end of the 17th century.
