Morocco Sahara Desert Camel Ride

#celebratewithtrip The Sahara is a desert on the African continent with an area of 9,200,000 square kilometers, it is the largest hot desert in the world and the third largest desert overall, smaller than the desert of Antarctica and the northern Arctic. Merzouga, a gateway to the popular Erg Chebbi sand dunes, that can be up to 200 meters high, a landscape purely formed by the wind. Along the ride, the guide will stop and take photos for you. They will also stop, and let you have activities like sliding from the top with a board, or viewing the sunset. The best way to experience this breathtaking beautiful scenery is on the back of the camel. A fantastic experience which you will not forget so quickly.

I can’t even put into words how much I loved the three days I spent in this little town in the Sahara Desert. Merzouga is situated near the Algerian border, and is the perfect base from which to experience the culture and beautiful landscapes of the Sahara. You’ll find a massive expanse of sand dunes here, making you feel like you’re worlds away from civilization. But in fact, Merzouga is fairly easy to access, and has plenty of accommodations to make it an easy add to your Morocco itinerary. Stay at least two nights in a luxury desert camp to get the full experience and to give yourself enough time to unwind. Don’t miss ATV riding around the dunes, a musical performance from the local Berbers, and dinner under the stars. #awesomepic
