Wuyue Duzun Inscription, Taishan Mountain

Exploring Taishan Mountain, Shandong - n.9: Wuyue Duzun Inscription 五岳独尊 On the way to summit there’s a stone with a red inscriptions 五岳独尊 Wuyue Duzun (photo2). It is printed as the banknote on China CNY 5 it means “the greatest of five sacred mountains in China”. It is said that they are inscribed on jade in the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1907). On the left side of the four characters, there is a regular script inscription "昂头天外- head up in the sky".
