Although I am from Shaoguan and know that late November to early December is the season when ginkgo trees turn yellow, I have never experienced it before. This time, I took advantage of the holiday, packed my bags, and embarked on this limited-time autumn romance. There are many places to check in for ginkgo trees in Shaoguan, and we chose Pingtian Forest Park in Nanxiong (free admission). We didn't prepare much before departure because we were not sure whether the ginkgo trees would turn yellow on the day we went (November 23) >_< But the process of exploring an unknown romance is also a meaning of travel. We departed from Guangzhou, and it took only 50 minutes to reach Shaoguan Station by high-speed train. The destination is still a bit far away, and self-driving is the best choice. Fortunately, there are car rental places near the high-speed train station. Two hours later, we will arrive at Pingtian, Nanxiong, the hometown of ginkgo trees in China. This is actually a village, and many tourist information centers have been gradually established because of the ginkgo tree attraction. When we arrived, it was around two o'clock in the afternoon, and the time was tight, so we couldn't visit all the attractions on the guide map. We asked a local uncle, and he said that we could go anywhere, as there were ginkgo trees all over the place. Then we changed our question: Uncle! Which place do people usually go to the most? Uncle: Niubei. Okay, let's go to the Niubei Ancient Ginkgo Group. There is a dedicated parking lot here, and no parking fee is required. The surrounding area is full of villagers selling local specialties, such as cured meat, cured sausage, cured duck, cured chicken, and various agricultural products, all at very affordable prices. It is definitely worth a visit to enjoy this romantic autumn scenery~
