Take a Relaxing Break at the Rokkaku Foot Bath Near Ogoto Onsen Station

📍 JR Ogoto Onsen Station East Exit Located just steps from the East Exit of JR Ogoto Onsen Station in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, the Rokkaku Foot Bath is a free foot bath spot where travelers can take a quick, relaxing break. The foot bath was established by the Ogoto Onsen Tourism Association in conjunction with the station name change on March 15, 2008. The building is designed to resemble a hexagonal hall, evoking the sacred spring discovered by the founder of Mount Hiei’s Enryaku-ji Temple, the great priest Saicho. The foot bath is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is free for everyone to use. The alkaline simple spring water from Ogoto Onsen is said to have skin-beautifying effects, making it the perfect spot to relax and soothe your travel fatigue. Whether you’re waiting for a train or taking a stroll, it’s a great place to stop and unwind. #celebrateit
