Temple No. 100: Wat Hasadawat (abandoned), Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Wat Hatsadawat or Wat Chang is an abandoned temple located in Tha Wasukri Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, next to Wat Na Phra Meru [formerly known as Wat Meru Ratchikaram or the temple used to make a royal crematorium for the king or queen] to the east. There used to be a walkway connecting them. In the Royal Institute Chronicle, B.E. 2455, which was revised from Dr. Bradley's version and the Thai manuscript version, it is written as Wat Hatsadawat, Wat Hatsadawat [It is likely derived from the word Hatthue + Awat = Hatawas or Wat Chang, but D and T are used interchangeably.
