Hampton Court Palace

#uktrip A wonderful palace to visit that has been beautifully looked after. We arrived on a Sunday morning at 10.30am, no queues to get in (we booked in advanced for adults but also had Blue Peter badges for the kids, which were really easy to use.) We took advantage of the half price ticket deal which ran from Jan-Feb. There were lots of parking spaces available too. The open fire in the kitchen was great to warm up to on a cold February day, and it was interesting chatting to the knowledgeable staff that kept the fire going. Having gone on a Sunday we didn’t manage to see the Chapel due to services occurring throughout the day, it is open in between but we missed them. We grounds are absolutely stunning! The kids aged 7-11 were completely engrossed in the digital missions on the handheld devices, they had challenges and learnt lots along the way. It worked great alongside the audio guides the adults had. We spent 4 hours in total here, which included some play in the maze. Will be visiting again!
