Baishuitai, the Sacred Land of Dongba || You're really having a blast!

Baishuitai is located at the foot of Haba Snow Mountain, in Baidi Village, Sanba Township, southeast of Shangri-La County, Yunnan, 101 kilometers from the county seat, at an altitude of 2380 meters. It is the birthplace of the Naxi people's Dongba religion. It is a natural wonder formed by the dissolution of calcium carbonate in spring water. The spring water, containing calcium bicarbonate, flows slowly, and the carbonate gradually precipitates, forming terraces over the years, resembling layered terraces, known as 'Fields Left by the Immortals', covering an area of about 3 square kilometers. It is the largest travertine terrace in China. The white calcium carbonate precipitate accumulates continuously, covering the ground, scattering like a slanted moon. In the Naxi language, Baishuitai is called 'Shi Bu Zhi', meaning a flower that grows gradually. Baishuitai is also known by the beautiful name 'Fields Left by the Immortals'. 🌈 Be sure not to ride a horse at the entrance, walk the whole way by yourself, the scenery along the way is also very beautiful, the most beautiful part is definitely at the highest point, which cannot be reached by horse.
