Shengzhou Xinchang has heard about the Great Buddha Temple for a long time. I took advantage of the New Year's Day holiday to visit Xinchang. Each county in Zhejiang has its own characteristics, which are worth savoring. route: Day 1: Big Buddha Temple-Meizhu Ancient Village-Yue Opera Museum-Yue Opera Town-Eating on Wozhou Road The next day: Shengzhou City God Temple-Shengzhou Ancient City Wall-Chongren Ancient Town Big Buddha Temple (P2-P7) It has a good reputation. Many TV dramas are filmed here. It takes about 3 hours to complete the tour. The route is not complicated, so you can visit it at will. There are many Buddha statues, including "the largest Buddha in Jiangnan" and "the largest reclining Buddha in Jiangnan". The huge Buddha statues are really shocking. Meizhu Ancient Village (P8-P9) The ancient village is very original and has no commercialization. It is basically composed of local indigenous residents. The ancient village is not big and can be completed in half an hour. Time seems to have stopped and everything is still the same as before. Yue Opera Museum (P10) It tells the history of the development of Yue Opera, and the second floor shows the history of Xinchang. It is worth mentioning that opposite the museum, there is the "Early Women's Yue Opera Museum". It may be the smallest museum I have ever been to. It has two floors and slightly shaky wooden stairs. The second floor has no lights and is full of traces of time. , I don’t know how many people will come here, it may be very, very few, but this museum is here to tell her story to those who come. Yue Opera Town (P11) It is a modern commercial town. It is said that there is a fireworks show at night and the night view is very beautiful. However, there are relatively few people now and not many shops and restaurants are open. Wozhou Road Food Street (P12) Went to Holiland Cantonese Porridge to eat, and ordered preserved egg and lean meat porridge (added a preserved egg and poached egg), pan-fried pork dumplings, and pan-fried tofu buns. They are all freshly made, piping hot when served, and taste pretty good. Shengzhou City God Temple (P13-P14) The carvings on the roof and cornices are very exquisite, but the place is not big. Most of the buildings are made of wood and are very antique. Shengzhou Ancient City Wall (P15) It’s just a section of city wall, nothing special, so you don’t need to look at it. Chongren Ancient Town (P16-P18) I have seen many ancient towns that are very heavily commercialized. This ancient town is truly authentic. Most of them are local aborigines and there is basically no commercialization. The ancient town still retains the original streets, and the alleys are intricate and interesting. It feels like entering Bagua Village, and it takes about an hour to walk around. The feeling of traveling is always wonderful, like going to a strange place, jumping out of the world, looking at the people and things happening in this world from a third-party perspective, and experiencing the lives of the locals.
