Qijing Hu'ao Stone Forest: A Natural Maritime Wonder

Hu'ao Stone Forest Scenic Area is located on Hu'ao Island in Xiangshan County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It is a breathtaking natural wonder. The stone forest here is composed of countless quadrilateral and hexagonal columnar joints. These columns are arranged in an orderly manner, forming a sea cliff stone forest landscape that stretches for 6000 meters, stands 30 meters high, and covers an area of 180,000 square meters. With bright tones and ancient forms, as a rare welded tuff landform, it has extremely high geological scientific research value. In addition to the stunning stone forest, Hu'ao Island also boasts lush mountain scenery, coastal erosion landforms, beaches and pebble beaches, as well as rich cultural landscapes. Mount Dafoshan is both majestic and lifelike, mysterious caves are unfathomable, and Qingshui'ao Pebble Beach is the only island pebble wonder in Ningbo City. Moreover, Hu'ao Island was historically a stronghold against the Qing Dynasty along the southeast coast. National hero Zhang Huangyan once gathered troops here, and the remains of the anti-Qing military camp still exist today, making it a great place for visitors to remember history and pay tribute to their ancestors.
