Check-in: Aman sent a car to pick us up early in the morning, and it was a 1961 extended Mercedes-Benz limousine, a vintage collection. The sense of ceremony was overwhelming. After the butler packed the luggage and loaded the car, he thoughtfully provided ice towels and ice drinks. Unlike the luxury of the Raffles Hotel across the street, which shows its long history everywhere, Aman Sara is hidden behind an iron gate guarded by a guard on the opposite side of the street. Rather than a hotel, it is more like a private villa, and the hotel sign is also low-key embedded next to the iron gate. Behind the gate, there are green trees and a gravel driveway leading to the hotel's reception porch, where the hotel manager and butlers greet visitors. The hotel has only 24 suites, divided into regular, courtyard, and pool suites. The courtyard suite we stayed in this time has a water pond in the courtyard outside the house, and the space is spacious. The hotel is not large, but it is highly private. The suites are built around the courtyard, and the facilities include two swimming pools, a domed restaurant, a bar, and a spa, as well as a small shop. Activities Be sure to join the Angkor Wat tour offered by the hotel, which can usually be arranged in the morning or afternoon to avoid the 40-degree sun at noon. Aman has its own 3-wheel motorcycle to take guests into the Angkor area for a detailed explanation. We paid extra to have the hotel arrange a Chinese-speaking guide, who was very detailed! The car is also equipped with ice water and ice towels. Meals The room rate includes afternoon tea every day, which can be delivered to any place in the hotel after 2 pm. Lunch or dinner is also included, and we made a reservation for dinner. The main restaurant in the evening has live musicians playing traditional instruments, and the menu can be freely matched with local or Western dishes, and the taste is also very delicious. The next day's breakfast was ordered in advance with the butler and delivered to the room, which was not only rich but also full of ceremony. When we returned to the room in the evening, the bathtub was ready for a bubble bath, and special lemongrass incense was lit, which was very relaxing. Check-out On the day of check-out, the hotel gave us many farewell gifts, and the manager and the entire butler team escorted us all the way out of the door, which was an unforgettable and spectacular sight. In fact, the hotel also has a variety of paid activities, and the price is about 500 US dollars, which can be considered, but the content of the hotel itself can cover two full days of itinerary. Unlike the luxury of a five-star hotel, the experience at Aman is more of a slow-paced lifestyle, a quiet and undisturbed retreat, a butler service that takes care of every detail, and a relaxing yet ceremonial journey of discovery. The beauty of Cambodia is worth it, and I will definitely come back if I have the chance.
