FCC Angkor by Avani has announced a collaboration with Unn (Pari) Sophary, founder of Cambodian gin brand Herbal Kulen, to bring organic, healthy, and unique Cambodian flavors to the hotel's famous Scribe Bar. 🍸 Guests will not only taste the essence of Cambodia in the cocktails, but also help local people achieve a revival rooted in sustainable development and environmental protection. Pari is based at the foot of the Kulen Mountains in Cambodia and is committed to restoring Cambodia's natural landscape in an ethical and sustainable way. Her hard work has resulted in the high-quality Herbal Kulen handcrafted gin, whose unique flavor comes from the plants Pari cultivates in her medicinal forest garden. This gin is distilled in small batches, with only 180 bottles, and is a tribute to Cambodia's vibrant ecosystem and rich traditions. In addition to enjoying a drink at the bar, guests at FCC Angkor by Avani can visit the home of Herbal Kulen gin, tour the lush gardens and distillery, and then taste the private gin with Pari. Back at the Scribe Bar, the hotel invites guests to try a range of cocktails and experience the vibrant spirit of Cambodia in a glass. These special drinks are all made with Herbal Kulen gin, combining sustainable practices with simple local flavors and exuding Cambodian flair. Signature drinks include the Cambodian Negroni, made with Herbal Kulen gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, and the Apsara Sour, which pays homage to local plants and is made with Herbal Kulen gin, butterfly pea flower tea, lemongrass syrup, and lime juice. Pari explains the importance of sustainability to Herbal Kulen's brewing process: "Herbal Kulen's journey began at Beng Mealea, where the raw beauty of nature inspired us, and the brand was born at the foot of Phnom Kulen in Phnom Penh. We plant lemongrass and citronella in deforested areas, not only to produce essential oils and gin, but more importantly, to give the land a chance to come back to life.
