If you don't feel any discomfort, you can visit Huanglong on the second day. ✨I recommend young people visit Jiuzhaigou first, because Huanglong is very tiring. If you visit Huanglong first, you might not have the energy to enjoy Jiuzhaigou. ✨It's hard to get a high-speed train ticket from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. I couldn't get a ticket even after waiting for a long time. I had to waitlist many bookings before I got a round-trip ticket. Outbound: Chengdu East to Huanglong Jiuzhai, return: Songpan to Chengdu East. ✨Wear winter clothes! Wear a hat! Wear sunscreen! It's cold and sunny! ✨Search for "Huanglong Scenic Area" on Trip.com to find a direct bus from Jiuzhaigou to Huanglong. You can buy a bus ticket in advance. ✨We took the cable car up the mountain and walked down. The sightseeing bus to the Five-Color Pond is limited to 5,000 tickets per day, and most of them are bought by scalpers and tour guides. Scalpers sell the CNY 20 tickets for CNY 100–200. You can go to the ticket office with your ID card after getting off the cable car. Don't worry about the sold-out notice or broadcast. The tourists in front of and behind me all bought tickets successfully. (I don't know why this is the case.) ✨There are no restaurants in the scenic area, only small shops. The food is expensive, so I recommend bringing your own bread. ✨It's a 3 km walk from the Five-Color Pond to the exit. It's all downhill, so it's not tiring, but my legs were sore all night after I got home. 😂 ✨I think the best view is the ponds starting from the Colorful Pond, so it's okay if you don't make it to the Five-Color Pond. ✨Bring some nuts or snacks.
