To reach this iconic spot, you have two options: take the cable car for a quicker trip or hike up. We chose to walk, and while it was challenging, the 3-hour hike to the 3200m elevation was incredibly rewarding. The journey offered breathtaking views and a chance to truly immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the area. The water in the pools is bright turquoise and yellow, and hiking through the area gives you amazing views. The fresh air and mountain scenery make the hike even more enjoyable. There are trails for all levels of hikers, so whether you’re looking for an easy walk or a more challenging hike, you’ll find something for you. Along the way, you’ll see wildlife, clear streams, and peaceful waterfalls. If you love nature, photography, or just want an outdoor adventure, Huanglong is definitely worth visiting.
