Shibamata Taisha

#東京行程 Shibamata Taishakuten feels like stepping back in time! This temple isn’t as famous as others in Tokyo, but it has such a charming, nostalgic vibe. The entrance street, Shibamata Sando, is lined with old-fashioned shops selling traditional sweets—I tried kusa dango (mugwort rice dumplings), and they were delicious! The temple itself has the most beautiful wooden carvings, and there’s a lovely garden with a koi pond in the back that feels so peaceful. I loved how quiet and relaxing the whole area was compared to the busy parts of Tokyo. There’s also a statue of Tora-san, a famous Japanese movie character, which makes this place even more special for movie lovers. It’s a little far from central Tokyo, but if you want a unique temple experience with an old-town feel, Shibamata is a hidden treasure worth visiting!
