New Yuan Ming Palace: A Favorable Landmark in Zhuhai

It is a replica of the Yuanmingyuan in Beijing before it was burned.The park covers an area of 1.39 square kilometers, surrounded by mountains on the east, west and north sides, and flat and open to the south.The Yuanming New Garden selected 18 of the 40 views of the Yuanmingyuan in a 1:1 ratio, including the main attractions such as the Great Palace Gate, Zhengda Guangming, Kyushu Qingyan, Pengdao Yaotai, etc. The foundation stone of Yuanming New Garden was laid on October 18, 1992, and it was designed by a senior professor of the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University.In the Spring Festival of 1997, Yuanming New Garden was officially opened to the public.It is one of the first batch of AAAA tourist attractions in the country, as well as a patriotic education base in Guangdong Province and one of the top ten tourist attractions in Guangdong Province. Historical background The construction of Yuanming New Garden aims to reproduce the glory of Beijing Yuanmingyuan, combining traditional Chinese culture with Western architectural styles. The park is divided into five scenic spots: Palace Gate Scenic Area, Chaoling Scenic Area, Fuhai Scenic Area, Western Tower Scenic Area and Baishikeng Scenic Area. The main attractions include the Zhengda Guangming Hall, Kyushu Qingyan, Pengdao Yaotai, etc. Among them, the Zhengda Guangming Hall is modeled on the layout of the Taihe Hall of the Forbidden City in Beijing. It was the place where emperors dealt with dynasty politics in ancient times. Travel information The opening hours of Yuanming New Garden are from 9:00 to 17:30 every day. Tickets are free, but some performances and cruise ships need to be paid separately.There are a wealth of cultural activities in the park, such as the real-life performance of "Dream Back to the Yuanmingyuan", which provides visitors with a rich cultural experience.
