The vegetarian food is so delicious, I want to become a monk again today.

At the end of my annual leave, I originally planned to stay in bed in my rented apartment until the holiday was over. However, the sunshine came into my bed and pulled me out. Coincidentally, my friend had a travel plan, so I joined them and was lucky enough to see the beauty of the Zen temple that has been around for hundreds of years. ⛰️ You can drive halfway up the mountain, and there are two roads to the temple, one on the left and one on the right. The road on the right is more like a mountain climbing path, with ups and downs, which is fun. The road on the left is a flat road leading to the temple, with cliffs on one side and woods on the other, which is very quiet. 🪵 The New Year's sunshine shines on the red walls that have been weathered for more than 600 years, and the ancient charm and the ethereal sound of chanting complement each other. The temple is built on the mountain, and the buildings are scattered, with a view at every step. Walking up the steps in the mottled shadows of the trees, I reached the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the highest point of the temple. 🎋 When I entered the temple, I asked a monk for directions, and he said with a smile: "The top is the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas, the next is the Hall of Thousand Buddhas, and next to it is the Temple of Wealth." Stereotypes are sometimes accurate. Young people visit temples to worship the God of Wealth and eat vegetarian food. This sentence made me understand where the comfort I felt since entering the temple came from, which is harmony. The naturalness of the Buddha statues in the stalactite cave, the tranquility of the bamboo shadows in front of the Buddha hall, the incense supply point, the monk and the cat lying on the counter are all relaxed and comfortable. The monks I saw along the way were all open-minded and optimistic, with a breeze in their sleeves and a leisurely pace. 🍚 After hanging the red rope of prayer, it was time for vegetarian food. Each person paid CNY 10 for a buffet experience. Four dishes were neatly arranged in a row, and the thick-cut potatoes looked delicious. They were soft and fragrant, and there was a pot of boiled vegetables, which were fresh and sweet. On the way back, the sun was setting. As we changed our route, we first saw it dyeing the mountain in front of us red, and then it was a big red circle outside the rear window until it was completely behind us. Buddhism talks about "following fate", which I understand as following your heart and having opportunities. This temporary trip made me feel that everything was just right. Isn't it wonderful to have such a chance?
