MMunkhorgil I was very satisfied with my stay in the hotel. There was a special bus from Disney and a special bus from the subway station. The service of the staff was very considerate. It was very convenient to eat around and it was also very convenient to go shopping, the lobby decoration was very high-end and high grade and it was also very good to store luggage for free so I'll have hot sugar. How are you? The breakfast is very delicious. The products are very rich. we eat very well every day very good and there is a midnight snack in the evening.

SShanghai based coupleAs a couple who has lived in Shanghai together for almost 10 years, with one of us also Shanghainese, we have been to a lot of the best places in Shanghai, and some of the more recommended places in about 20 cities in the broader nearby area. Nothing in the city or within several hours of high-speed rail compares to a stay at Ritz-Carlton Pudong. In Asia and indeed the planet, this impeccable hotel experience stands as an iconic example of old-world elegance and service. In addition, it also offers a unique view of both some of the most modern and tallest buildings and the city’s famed Bund riverside, home to a variety of art deco architectural masterpieces.
We had the incredible good fortune to start our honeymoon at the Ritz in Pudong, and this last stay was our last honeymoon treat. As always, it was a spectacular experience that we cannot recommend enough.
The most extraordinary part of the stay really is the staff, they are all world class people who go above and beyond to make the Ritz-Carlton Pudong such an exceptional institution in one of the world’s leading cities.
Sincere thanks to the whole team for making this happen, including Cherryl, who made reservation delightfully effortless, Chris who helped us to our room, and Joey and Ruby who helped in the evening.

Claire is generally excellent there but also was phenomenally helpful to get a bag back when it was left behind, we really apricated that.
Jeramy and Vivian also are amazing, as are Club Lounge’s chef’s Joe and Austin.
Sherry is a real star, attentive, sharp and so helpful.
Last but not least, Helen, who was the first person to greet us after we got married, and fittingly the last person to help us create personalised room key cards with our wedding photo on it, and most recently a special photo of family from our honeymoon. Those keycards are really cool keepsakes, but making them is not as simple as you might think: the image is etched into the key, not printed, so the original photo needs to be translated by AI into an image that the etching system is capable of delivering, which is really impressive. When I showed my mom who lives very far away, even she was impressed with Helen’s work.
Ordinarily we prioritise new experiences over more of the same, regardless of how comfortable and nice it is. But regardless of how hard we try, we have not been able to figure out a better way to celebrate our biggest moments than a stay at the Ritz in Pudong.

PPengguna TetamuWe booked 2 nights at Sofitel Shanghai North Bund and our rooms were lovely - all our rooms were wonderfully clean, spacious and the beds were immensely comfortable. The bathrooms and room features were thoughtfully designed, we esp. loved the cloakroom where we can store our luggages and hang up our clothes & jackets (and also stash our shopping bags & purchases). Great service from the friendly hotel staff, esp. the gentlemen from the super efficient and helpful conceige team, from assisting us with our heavy luggages to our rooms, to ensuring our ******* and taobao deliveries were received and sent up to us, to offering recommendations on food options and transportation. A big thank you to Jerry and his wonderful colleagues at the conceige team, Jerry went the extra mile and walked out with us and guided us to the nearby restaurant for a last minute dinner reservation and his colleague (very helpful gent in specs, we were so sorry we didn't manage to get his name) assisted to set up ******* app for us. Hope to see you all again on our next trip!

Despite it being 12am, Jude was incredibly helpful and proactive in assisting me with a parcel that was mistakenly sent to the wrong address. The other team members in the concierge department also did a helpful job with our baggage. It’s just unfortunate that I can’t have my ******* food delivery sent by the hotel staff directly to my room. This was inconvenient but I understand the food and hygiene aspects that they uphold. Generally, a pleasant stay with best location. The bund view is just too awesome!

PPengguna TetamuMy wife and I started our 3 week honeymoon in China with a 4 night stay at Banyan Tree in Shanghai. Both the hotel and the service we received was so exceptional that we actually changed our plans to make an additional stop at the hotel on the way home. On arrival Sam recommended an upgrade to the panorama room and the view of the Bund was incredible. We entered the room with a lovely display to celebrate our recent wedding. Vicky was on hand with any queries we had via WeChat and was able to coordinate the delivery of our suitcases from Beijing. The concierge Michael actually made payment for our cases on our behalf as we hadn't reached the hotel yet which was really appreciated! Other highlights were the breakfast and the attentiveness of the door staff.

Minus: No bidet (thought a 5 Stars hotel would have this since it is very common). There is only 1 international channel-CNN, the rest is Chinese. The staff working at the Concierge doesn't give a welcoming aura

SSununhungI would have given this hotel full 5 stars if the was an unfortunate security incident. On 26 Dec, a middle aged local Chinese man followed me into the lift and looked suspicious. He didn’t tap his keycard and we out the same floor. I asked him to produce his keycard and he couldn’t and I brought him down to the reception to ask for security. When lift stopped at level 5, he tried to rush out to escape but I pulled his arm and he couldn’t. While we were waiting for someone to attend me as everyone was busy, he quickly walked briskly away. I went to look for him with hotel staff but couldn’t find him. Hotel needs to beef up their security.
I would have given the hotel 1 star in service but i would to commend Allesandro Hao as he allowed us to extend our checkout time free of charge due to our flight delay of 11 hours. As such his act of good service earn the hotel an additional star.

Sarapan di hotel ini juga sangat lazat. Wafel a la carte, muffin dan telur Benedict semuanya indah dan lazat.

HHans Tt.Christmas Eve buffet was pleasant in some ways. Nice atmosphere with the band.
Roast meats and trimmings were plentiful and tasty, if a bit on the cold side. In fact so much of the hot food was just left to go cold.
The seafood was average. The serving of one half cheese lobster per person came across as stingy, especially when just left on the table in our absence to quickly grow cold. The accompanying side of stone cold chips hardly added to the glamour.
Service was a bit too nervous and chaotic. Random removal of half-finished plates coupled with a reluctance to clear empty ones.
I paid extra for the “free flow sparkling wine package.” This was delivered reactively per small glass, which soon became tedious.
The room was decent with a great view over Jing’An.
Breakfast was quite poor. Again, so much of the food was barely warm.
The tall and lonely pyramid of fried eggs left to congeal on their cold plate at the ‘egg station’ was offputting.
Overall, not the worst experience, but also not great for a five star hotel touting its Christmas delights in the heart of Shanghai.
