I had originally booked at Hotel Ambassador, but was informed just before my trip that it would not be open on the day. With the support of the Trip.com staff, I ended up staying at this hotel. There was a price difference, but Trip.com covered it. The hotel was in the off-season and there were not many guests, so although I had booked a double room, I was upgraded free of charge and stayed in a suite. The ocean view room had a great view from the balcony. It is a little far from the city center (about 3km) and a little inconvenient for sightseeing, but the hotel itself was clean and the hotel staff were nice. A lovely stay in Briig hotel. A perfect location by a local beach with easy access to the port and town in under ten minutes by foot.
Very spacious rooms with a super comfy XL bed and updated designer toiletries in the bathroom along with the amazing shower.
A small but functional rooftop pool and sun deck and lovely garden to have breakfast and drinks.

Excellent stay at Prima Luce. The room was very clean and very comfortable, the Air Conditioning was excellent. Note that on certain nights, there is a nightclub in the same building which does tend to make some noise as you can hear a bit of the thumping of the music. The location was amazing as you are right beside the old Roman walls, restaurants, bars, nightlife, shopping and very close to the beautiful ”Riva” marina. Beaches are a short uber or cab ride away, they are very close. Very comfortable stay and excellent service from hotel staff.DariRM485

Had a great stay in Marvie. Excellent service from the staff, who were always friendly and helpful. Location is great - a 15-20 minute walk to the centre. Lovely beach / coastal walk is a little longer but well worth it. Pools and wellness centre great. Breakfast was good, maybe could be a bit better.DariRM1,145

Located in the heart of split and easy access to everything. The room is huge and spacious with great decoration. There is a restaurant next to the hotel and it's not that noisy after 9p.m. About 15 mins walk to the bus station. Highly recommend for this hotel.DariRM787

The Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere.
However, there are a few things one should be aware of before booking: The hotel is in the historic district just about 5 min walk west from the Prominade area. Taxis cannot drive in, so it is necessary to walk in with one's baggage. Also, any excursions will start with a walk out of the area to the main taxi stand. Navigating the area can be a challenge the first couple of times; one MUST have the ability to use their maps app. T-mobile - America has an international plan that give you up to 2G speed unlimited data and texting, but I highly recommend getting a local sim card. Look at the map of the city before choosing this hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking. Furthermore, the office closes from 11pm till 7am. Most importantly, they DO NOT take credit cards. IF you did not pay for the room online, you will need local cash, and you will need it to pay the taxes on the room, and for a taxi if you booked it through the hotel. Cash only. (They do have a zelle option, but I could not get it to work. I recommend cash. Speaking of cash, one should get it from an actual bank ATM as the rates 11% vs the 22-25% some private ATMs charge.)
I give the hotel 4 of 5 for comfort, 5/5 for cleanliness, 3 or 5 for location.

The hotel in located is just 20 mints walk from old town. It is close to resturants, supermarket, bus stop and it is right next to joker mall. Rooms are big. The hotel has indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room at free of cost. Staff is very helpful specially the gentleman in evening shift was very helpful. Normally parking is paid but he did not charged us for parking. The only issued we had was with AC. It was not working properly bur after they fixed it, it was good. I also think room carpet needs to be changed. Buffet breakfast was pretty good with varities of options.DariRM901

The hotel is in an incredible location, at an incredible price. The room and building were very clean with great facilities, though some of the room furniture, like the desk chair, could use a bit of a refurbishment. This however for most travelers will be no issue as you will want to be out and about exploring the city and using the room as just a home base. I will absolutely come and stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Split and my stay at Slavija. It can be a bit hard to find to those new to the winding streets, but the location is perfect for an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the staff at the Slavija for an incredible stay!DariRM827
