Aba County is affiliated to Aba Tibetan and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province. Aba County is located on the southeast edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, at the intersection of Sichuan-Ganqing three provinces, with an area of 10,435 square kilometers. It is a home for a variety of rare birds and animals including black-necked cranes, swans, golden eagles, grassland carvings, egrets and other rare birds and animals. The total area of Manzatang Nature Reserve has been listed as a provincial nature reserve.
