Sangpu Mountain

The Sangpu Mountain Scenic Area is located about 20 kilometers southwest of Chaozhou City. The mountain is over 600 meters high and about 27 kilometers around, named after its former abundant production of mulberry trees. The mountain is characterized by rugged rocks, lush forests, and caves adorned with giant rocks and diverse stone forests. The landscape includes the ancient temple Ganlu Temple, which is naturally covered with 700 square meters of giant stones; There are Zhongli Cave, Li Gu Cave, etc; There are mushroom shaped stone forests showcasing ancient sea erosion landforms, as well as the tombs of the famous Chaozhou sage Lin Daqin and his mother-in-law. At the southern foot of the mountain stands a newly built Tropic of Cancer landmark tower. At the eastern foot of the mountain lies Dongshan Lake, surrounded by mountains on three sides, divided into small and large West Lakes. The lakeside is dotted with abundant hot springs and mineral resources.
