Gannan Arboretum is a local arboretum with beautiful natural environment and rich scientific connotation. Since its establishment, the arboretum has been committed to collecting, protecting, researching, displaying and developing wild tree species resources in southern Jiangxi and southern subtropical areas, especially rare and endangered tree species, establishing a regional tree species gene bank, and becoming a center for tree species research and protection in southern Jiangxi and southern subtropical areas. It currently collects and preserves more than 1,300 tree species, including more than 50 protected tree species. It is a member unit of the "China Botanical Garden Alliance" and a national, provincial and municipal science popularization education base and Ganzhou Ecological Civilization Demonstration Education Base.
