In winter, encountering a snowfall is probably the happiest thing in the world. The weather forecast shows that there will be moderate snowfall tomorrow. The first snow in Qiyun Mountain this year came exceptionally early. Have you ever seen Qiyun in the snow? As soon as it snows, Qiyun Mountain becomes a 'White Peak'. Although it is not as strong and hearty as the north, it falls on the white walls and black tiles of Huizhou, adding a bit of charm to the simple Huizhou. The mountains, small towns, and streets are all covered with layers of white snow. The snowflakes fall in every corner of the Qiyun land, less noisy, more peaceful, but the most heart-moving is the white snow inlaid with red walls. The eaves of the carved beams and painted buildings are also covered with thick snow, adding a bit of poetry to the solemn winter. ⚠️Snow viewing precautions Prepare anti-slip pads or anti-slip climbing shoes for going up the mountain in the snow. Raincoats, umbrellas, thermos cups, and power banks are essential items. ⛰️ Qiyun Mountain, formerly known as Baiyue, is named for its peak that aligns with the clouds, creating an impression of a mountain equal in height to the clouds. Emperor Qianlong once praised it as 'a peerless scenic spot, the number one mountain in the south of the Yangtze River.' Qiyun Mountain is composed of continental red rock series from the late Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic era and features unique Danxia landforms. 📍 Located in Qiyunshan Town, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, 🛣️ it's not long after exiting the highway to reach there. After arriving at the tourist center, you can choose to take the cable car 🚡 up and down the mountain or hike. It is recommended to hike to see more beautiful scenery. You will pass by Dengfeng Bridge, and along the way up the mountain, there are nine miles and thirteen pavilions for visitors to rest, cool off, take shelter from the rain, and enjoy the surrounding beauty. The 13 pavilions are, in order: First Immortal Pass Pavilion, Stepping Cloud Pavilion, Surrounding Peak Pavilion, Climbing Pavilion, Harmony Pavilion, Baiyue Pavilion, Wind Pavilion, Respect Pavilion, Pine Moon Pavilion, Sea and Sky Pavilion, Cloud Water Pavilion, Approaching Immortal Pass Pavilion, and Viewing Immortal Pavilion, each with its own unique style and characteristics. You will also pass through the First, Second, and Third Heavenly Gates. Mount Qiyun of 2061.3 M height, locates at Shangyou County of Jiangxi Province, and one of the Ten Famouse Mountains in Jiangxi. As it's still not reachable by any pave road, it stays very wild and natural for hikers. It's highly recommended to have a 2-day hike and camp on the mountain top at night. On the way to the top, you would come across a bamboo forest, then thick woods, and then reach a grassland with lots of lovely cow families. What I love this mountain the most, must be the clouds surrounding it, and the stunning sunset, moon-rise, and sunrise! As we just finished enjoying the beautiful sunset, turn around, there was the soft moon rised from the pink and light blue horizon afar. Two-day tour of Qi Yun Mountain, experience the beauty of Danxia landform and ancient villages Today I'm going to share with you a super awesome two-day tour of Qi Yun Mountain that I just experienced. Departing from Huangshan North Station, the scenery along the way is picturesque, as if stepping into a long scroll of landscape. Transportation: We started from the high-speed rail Huangshan North Station, took a direct bus or taxi to Qi Yun Mountain, the transportation is very convenient. Accommodation: In Qi Yun Mountain town, we chose an antique inn with a quiet environment and complete facilities. The price for one night is very affordable, although the specific cost is not mentioned, but believe me, it's definitely worth it. Attractions: On the first day, we visited Qi Yun Mountain, a scenic spot famous for its Danxia landform, which is breathtaking. We took the Yuehua cable car up the mountain and enjoyed the views of the cloud street, cliff carvings, Danxia landform, etc. The tour route includes Wangxian Tower, Shouzi Rock, Zhenxian Cave Mansion, Yuehua Street, Incense Burner Peak, Tai Su Palace, Small Pot Sky, Yuxu Palace, Ziyun Pass, Wulao Peak, Fangla Fort, Danxia Corridor and the highest peak. Finally, we took the cable car down the mountain, looking at the scenery under our feet, as if in a fairyland. Bilian Pond: There are cliff carvings here, which is a good place for photography. Yuehua Street: A village on the top of the mountain with shops, restaurants and homestays. Walking on the ancient streets, it's like going back to ancient times. Small Pot Sky: The hidden 'Gourd Gate', suitable for photography. Standing here, it's like being in a painting. Yuxu Palace: The red Taoist temple is located under the cliff, very stunning, also a good place for photography. Tour time: The whole tour up the mountain takes about 4-5 hours. So I suggest you guys start early. Precautions: Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. After all, we have to walk a long mountain road to enjoy these beautiful views. The last cable car down the mountain is at 16:50, if you miss it, you'll have to walk down. So be sure to keep track of time. There are many attractions in Qi Yun Mountain, if you want to have a deep tour, it is recommended to plan your itinerary in advance. Be sure to pay attention to safety on the mountain, do not climb places without safety protection such as rocks. Please keep the environment clean in the scenic area, do not litter.
