Jiagu Mountain, with an altitude of 304 meters, is located in Jiashan Township (now Banzhuang Town), Ganyu District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. According to legend, in the tenth year of the reign of Lu in the Spring and Autumn Period (500 BC), Confucius met with the Duke of Qi at Jiagu Mountain, which was one of the major events in ancient Chinese history.
Over the past 2,500 years, the relics, steles and documents left by Jiagu Mountain to future generations still exist. In the Ming Dynasty, there were buildings such as the Holy Temple, the Holy Pavilion, the Kuixing Pavilion and the Jiagu Academy built here to commemorate Confucius, but they are no longer complete. The existing ruins of the building complex include the Holy Temple, the Holy Temple, the Holy Pavilion, the Kuixing Pavilion and the Jiagu Academy, with a construction area of about 15,000 square meters.
