Haitan Town General Army Office

The General Office of Haitan Town (China Haitan Coastal Defense Museum) is located in the ancient city of Haitan, Pingtan. It is a private museum with the theme of coastal defense culture. Its total exhibition area is about 3,000 square meters. The museum uses real landscape, 1:1 wax figures, and naked eye phantom imaging technology to truly present the Haitan coastal defense and naval culture in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and truly present the glorious history of the Haitan people's resistance to invasion and foreign aggression. Front Hall The wing rooms on both sides of the front hall are the exhibition area of ​​[Famous Generals of Pingtan in the Qing Dynasty]: the twenty historical figures exhibited were selected from hundreds of naval officers from Pingtan in the Qing Dynasty, including the famous general Zhan Gongxian who guarded Taiwan, Jiang Jiyun, a loyal hero who fought against the British, and Sun Dagang, a hero of the sea. The General Office was an ancient military secret office, and the main hall of the front hall was the Tiger Festival Hall, which was an important place for the general officers to discuss military affairs. The hall follows the furnishing rules of the main hall of the Ming Dynasty. The floor of the hall is paved with gold bricks: gold bricks are also called imperial kiln gold bricks, which are a kind of high-quality floor bricks used in important buildings such as palaces in ancient times. Because of its hard and fine texture, it makes a clanging sound like metal when knocked, so it is called gold bricks. Inner Hall: The largest indoor warship model in the province - the 13-meter-long Ganzang warship restoration ship is one of the main attractions of the museum. The Ganzang warship restoration ship was built on site at a ratio of 1:2 to the original ship. It has a pointed bottom and a flat head, a total length of 13 meters, and a width of 4.5 meters. It is the official main warship in the early and middle Qing Dynasty. Second floor exhibition area: The second floor exhibition area is themed on coastal defense. Through real-life layout, real wax figures, simulated warship cabins, 3D phantom imaging, and other technologies, it vividly and realistically displays ten classic major events related to Haitan coastal defense, such as Zheng He's voyages, the military and civilians' fight against the Japanese pirates, the fight against the Qing Dynasty and the restoration of the Ming Dynasty, the cruiser patrol, the Penghu naval battle, the Haitan naval battle, the military inspection, the arrest of pirates and the pacification of the sea, the cross-sea suppression of the rebellion, and the resistance to foreign aggression. In addition, the second floor exhibition area also has a virtual coastal cliff landscape - the abyss, and combines sound, light, electricity and other multimedia technologies to restore the four major naval battles of fierce naval battles. And a simulated cabin that highly restores the real-life layout of the interior of the Fuchuan warship more than a hundred years ago. Third floor exhibition area: The third floor exhibition area is themed on defending Taiwan and the border. This area mainly tells the story of the Haitan Town Navy, which has experienced more than two hundred years of development and its navy culture has formed a unique cultural landscape along the coast of my country. The exhibition area on the third floor also uses naked-eye 3D phantom imaging technology to tell about an important measure against Taiwan in ancient China - the garrison of soldiers on duty.
