Dongyang

Dongyang is a prefecture-level city in Zhejiang Province that belongs to Jinhua City. It is famous as the hometown of education, the hometown of architecture and the hometown of arts and crafts. Dongyang City's wood carving, stone carving and painted figurines are famous throughout the world. Praised by domestic and foreign experts alike as a place with “international-level cultural and artistic heritage” there are more than 260 ancient buildings dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This city is also the home of the famous Hengdian Studios where many movies have been filmed.
