Situated in southern Jiangxi, Ganzhou (赣州) lies at the center of the Jiangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, and Hunan region and is where the Gan (赣) River starts. Ganzhou has a long history and today has well-preserved Song-era city walls as well as multiple national scenic areas, nature reserves, and forest parks. Ganzhou is also famous as an old base of revolutionary activity in China. Visitors can see monuments to the Long March, former residences of leaders of the Revolution, and other historic attractions.
