The room was bright and airy with simple, practical furnishings. The bathroom was also quite spacious. It had a large balcony, but the door was locked. Given that a main road runs just below, there's probably a good reason for that. Breakfast and dinner were included. Dinner was mediocre, not much variety, and drinks had to be ordered separately. However, there was one soup, a rich cauliflower soup, which was a local specialty. Breakfast was excellent and very plentiful.

Fantastic location. Sauna is available to book for free for private use. The best thing was the massage - it was really good. The only issue was the air condition which was changed to heating during the time we visited (summer transitioning to autumn) so it was a little warm at night. Unless you took the garden facing room, the road/ trams noises will be uncomfortable to leave the windows open through the night. Having said, the staff service were good.

Perfect!!! Absolutely everything – from its location not far from the bus station, to the optimal level of comfort, coziness, and amenities, simply incredible breakfasts, and of course, the excellent work and friendliness of the staff! Even its slight distance from the center of Zagreb is practically unnoticeable – a 20-minute walk lets you get to know the city better. Everything positive said in reviews about this hotel truly corresponds to reality. Well done, keep it up!

Pros: Loved our stay! Sleek interiors, friendly and helpful staff, and a great rooftop pool with magnificent views. The Uber collaboration with vouchers and a dedicated lobby lounge was a nice touch. Breakfast had a good spread and was delicious (especially the honeycomb!). Special thanks to the housekeeping team for going the extra mile to provide us with firm pillows after our long drive. Truly appreciated! Cons: None! 😊

The Esplanade Hotel scores big on location — it's perfectly situated and hard to beat for exploring the area on foot. The beds were genuinely comfortable and made for a restful night's sleep. That said, the rest of the interior is showing its age. The furniture and furnishings are visibly worn and could use replacing. It doesn't ruin the stay, but it is noticeable and brings the overall experience down a notch. Overall a solid choice if location and sleep quality are your priorities — just be aware that the room itself has seen better days.

The hotel is right in the city center, just a 10-minute walk from the University of Zagreb. You simply turn left out of the hotel entrance and walk straight. There are many historic buildings nearby, making it a great area for a stroll. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but the room size is decent, with enough space left after opening two 28-inch suitcases.

In need of refurbishment from a cosmetic perspective, as the carpet in my hotel room was worn and tired. No body wash and had to ring housekeeping for refill… perhaps this should be checked regularly with cleaning. Cannot fault the care demonstrated towards guests and breakfast quality. A grand old lady of Zagreb that will always draw me to her. Fantastic location. Highly recommended.

If you need a need an overnight near the airport, the Dream Hotel is perfect. This is a basic hotel with clean rooms, on site restaurant, AND dedicated FREE airport shuttle electric vans. Hotel staff were extremely attentive and friendly to us and they spoke nearly flawless english. We made our room reservation 6+ months in advance and simply kept in touch via email. The hotel gave us very clear instructions how to call for the shuttle at the airport. We didn’t have cell service, so we used email to request pickup and it only took about 15 minutes for the van to meet us. The hotel was less than 10 minutes from the airport. Per their instructions, upon room check in, we reserved the time we needed a shuttle ride back to the airport. 4am is their first shuttle departure and the hotel was prompt with their shuttle departure time. Lastly, we were completely surprised by their very reasonably priced wide ranging restaurant menu. Beware, portion sizes are huge! This hotel and staff served us a very filling dinner, gave us a satisfactory room, and provided totally uneventful free shuttle from and airport. Was very happy we chose this hotel.

First things I like to express my appreciation to Toni at front desk who's very friendly welcoming my first day check in and helping me when I have problem with rental car. He really put his effort making so many calls when the rental car didn't response well, but finally all problem solved. And he sent his regard throe his friend at front desk on my second check in after 7 days traveling to Split and Dubrovnik, his name also Tony and he also very friendly. Thanks to both of you Toni & Tony ( I hope I didn't wrong spelling your name ) It's highly recommend for all type of traveler, the room is very quite, I can't hear anything from next room or outside, sleep like a baby. I love the spacious shower room and all luxury amenities. If not mistaken I think this is a brand new hotel. Since i drive a car, for me location is not important, 8 minutes drive to the old town, not too far. I like the neighborhood is so quite. Breakfast has many menus and tasty too. From “A to Z”, this hotel is simply incredible: the kindness of the front desk staff, the comfort of the room, the cleanliness of the property, the deliciousness of the breakfast, the exemplary customer service mindset, etc. I especially thank Ms. Marina to cut my watermelon and serve it on a plate and the 4th floor cleaning lady to help me with my luggages. 110% RECOMMENDED!!
