Tokyu Rei hotel is conveniently located right across the street from Nagano station. The rooms are of a good enough size for a short stay for a couple, single, or family with young kids. The beds are comfortable and the room clean. If staying a night or two to experience the Snow Monkey Park and the city of Nagano and it's surroundings, it's a good option. It's within walking distance of Zenjiko shrine, which is large and free to enter. The station is right across the street and offers many restaurants and a grocery store. For convenience, it's a good option.

Nice hotel provided yummy breakfast and amazing happy hour for free drinks and snacks. The provides different bath salt that helped me have a relax bathing time while stay. I would suggest to have a full light block curtain to improve my sleep.

My stay at Hotel Courtland was absolutely fantastic! First of all, the location is unbeatable—it's just a short walk from Nagano Station, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and catching the Shinkansen. There are also plenty of great restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was spotlessly clean and very well-maintained. While it follows the cozy style typical of Japanese business hotels, it was thoughtfully designed with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable! Above all, the staff were wonderful—so polite, welcoming, and eager to help. It’s truly a hidden gem in Nagano that offers great value for money. We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Metropolitan Nagano. The location is excellent, as it is directly connected to Nagano Station, which made traveling around the area very convenient. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay, and check-in was smooth. There are also many restaurants and shops nearby, which made it easy to find food and explore the area. Overall, it was a great place to stay in Nagano and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Buffet breakfast was great, children eats free. We have a car so is accessible. Ski field a short 8 mins away. Onsen was nice, unfortunately not all guests followed the rules. Would be perfect if they provided Japanese toiletries in the hotel room (Dove brand provided). Room with balcony was beautiful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the facilities, hospitality. Highly recommended.

The hotel is nice, from the station about 10 minutes walk almost in a straight line, wake up. The room was originally wrong, it was reserved for smokers, even though we don't smoke, the room was given the appropriate one, the smell in it was just not very good, like for those who don't smoke at all, it started already on the floor.But the staff, fortunately, were able to find us a replacement for a non-smoking room, yes, less, yes one big bed instead of two, but with stunning mountain views and a coffee machine. This was a last minute selection on the train from Tokyo, but the right one. It's a short 5 minute walk from the Nagano station and has spacious rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, but best of all, on arrival you are given a welcome drink and dessert of your choice. The entire place seems to be obsessed with desserts, to my liking. They also provides free ice cream and upon check out, bags of candy and cookies. Maybe it's a Christmas promotion, but a welcome surprise. The breakfast is a bit expensive, but has a nice selection of food choices, including salmon, more desserts, and various Japanese food. I only stayed one night, but I believe they have an onsen and other amenities. Well worth it. I stayed in other hotels in Nagano, and this one was superior.

Good location, close tot he train station. The hotel is old and it was a Select Inn. The staff was excellent, She recommended, after asking us our preferences, a great restaurant within walking distance. She was so hospitable. Breakfast was good.
