The hotel is relatively close to the airport, so location itself is convenient. The room was spacious and with comfortable beds, though with fairly minimal amenities. Based on the room alone, it is acceptable for a short 1-night stay without much to ask for.
On the negatives, there is currently a renovation of the hotel entrance is ongoing. No information was provided to us in advance nor is it mentioned in their website, which is misleading since an informed opinion cannot be made (given the ensuing issues on noise etc). Also due to the renovation, the reception area is rather stuffy and dark, since there is limited air circulation and natural light in the current temporary “reception” area.
Finally, the area immediately around the hotel up until the entrance is badly maintained, if at all, with garbage all over the place (from food containers to used condoms).
Very conveniently located airport hotel literally 5 mins stroll (even in Nov Icelandic weather) to the airport. Huge plus point was the early breakfast hours from 4am for those catching AM flights out and mind you, not just cold cuts and bread but with hot scrambled eggs n beans etc. Rooms were clean and there is a small reasonably priced bar ( By Icelandic standards) at lobby area for those who want a night capper.
Many Car Rental companies are also within a stone throw of the hotel, perfect for car returns and getting back to hotel on foot after.
This hotel is very clean, the room was large and the bed very comfortable. It is situated on a little harbour and we had a nice room with a harbour view. There is a restaurant attached and the food was excellent. My only issue is that it is about a 10 min drive from the airport and the taxi ride one way was 42 euros which translated to $136 Canadian dollars round trip, that was a bit of a sticker shock for a 10 min ride (20 min total).
A lovely hotel, conveniently situated near keflavik airport..Stunning Deco, rooms were immaculate, and the spar facilities are second to none..We never used it as there was an extra cost.. Shame there was no view of the harbour. However, the sky from our room was spectacular..

The hotel was awesome. Checkinf in was very smooth, the hot tub was nice and heated. We had to leave at 5 in the morning to catch a flight, and the hotel provided a service to take us there smoothl
Clean but very small room. Window was rusted and could not be fully closed. Would be nice to have a few more shelves/racks. Excellent early breakfast for early flights.
GGuest UserI booked the Aurora Hotel for my last night in Iceland because I had an early flight the next day. It's super convenient, just a five-minute walk from the airport. The room size was decent; I booked a double and it was very comfortable for one person. Returning the rental car was also a breeze, as the drop-off point is about a five-minute walk from the hotel. The only downside is that there are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby. I ended up buying pizza and drinks from the small supermarket inside the airport for dinner. Breakfast was fine, with some vegetables and fruit – enough to fill you up. Overall, its proximity to the airport is the main selling point, making it perfect for anyone with an early flight.
GGuest UserClean and everything wad as promised. Service was great. Reception is 24/7 around. Open for any support.
Had a great stay.
Location is a bit far from the next city and landscape but reachable by bus.
GGuest UserExtremely satisfied, especially the terrace hot spring water which was very warm, and you could even see the aurora borealis while looking up. A very cost-effective stay, thumbs up to the hotel, absolutely wonderful!

GGuest UserThe distance from Keflavik Airport is quite a dilemma. While it's walkable, you'd be walking through a dark, unlit wilderness at night, which can be scary. I'd advise women, children, and the elderly to avoid it. If you opt for a taxi, it takes less than 5 minutes from the airport but costs around 2000 yen, which feels like a waste.
The hotel itself is fantastic, as expected from a Marriott property. The staff service is excellent, and the room and amenities are top-notch.
The only issue is the distance from the airport. It would be a great choice for those who are renting a car.

JJJKFCAs the first stop hotel in Iceland 🇮🇸, the overall feeling is good.
Because 8/4 Check in at 8 o'clock in the morning, the front desk almost didn't let check in, because I had to check out at 11 o'clock. . →8/3 Arrived in Iceland in the morning. After that, please: have breakfast and return something.
The front desk is finally OK ... service desk service, room cleanliness, lighting, basic facilities are good, like one 👍
MMelihClean but very small room. Window was rusted and could not be fully closed. Would be nice to have a few more shelves/racks. Excellent early breakfast for early flights.
DDearSeanVery good hotel, excellent location, large public areas and very warm feeling. The room was the largest we stayed in Iceland and could easily spread out 2 boxes. Opposite is the lighthouse, the weather is clear, you can see the aurora directly from the window (sea view room can, the other side will have the light pollution of the airport). The hotel drives 10 kilometers to the airport and will pass a small town.
