非常棒的酒店，早、晚餐都很豐富和美味，員工都十分友善且能說流利英語，入住當天下著雨，多謝Kimura先生接載我們從停車場到達酒店，而另一位員工Yamamoto先生詳細介紹了酒店、房間設施和晚飯菜式，因為在Trip.com預訂，還贈送了合共2萬日元的現金券，可以在淡路島內指定餐廳和場所使用，房間內的Mini bar也是免費。非常好的入住體驗，希望下次入住會遇上好天氣。

Hotel Okura Kobe is easy to spot near the harbour area and provides good service in bringing guests over to its hotel. The free shuttle bus service from and to Sannomiya Station made it easy to check in and out from the hotel, and the frequent timings were a bonus in helping us navigate the area. We got a free upgrade to a deluxe room and was pleasantly surprised with the size and quality of the room. Customer service was great and staff were very friendly, with most of them having a good knowledge of English. However, laundry services are not very desirable as there is no fixed system. Asked for the key at 7pm and was told to wait until 830 as it was currently occupied, which was fair as it was in use. At 830, call was made to the bell counter and confirmed that it was our turn, but by the time we made our way down from our room to the bell counter (in the span of 3 minutes or so), we were informed that the key was given to someone else as no confirmation was made by the staff to ensure that the person who came to collect the key was actually from our room. However, the following staff on duty were good in resolving the issue as they provided alternative solutions to help with our laundry, although it did take a longer time than expected. Everything was good, but if laundry is a huge motivation for you to book this hotel, then you might want to reconsider.

First time doing road trip in Japan, glad to found this hotel with a parking lot. The size of the room is quite big for a hotel in Japan.

My non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Fortunately the staff were exceptional, and I soon received another room. One staff told me that because the room was ”Japanese Style”, and that I had to take the bedding from the closet, move the low table and make up my own futon. I live in Japan and I know what a ”Japanese Style” room is. Ryokans of a good grade will have staff make up the futons. When a hotel is too large, the work of making up the futons for all rooms becomes onerous, however, one wonders why ”five star hotel” if one has to make up one's own futon AND receive education on what a ”Japanese Style” room entails [ I am in the hotel business]. The lobby is bleak and looks cheap. No style, no charm. The seating is ugly and cheap. There are real plants here and there but no cut flowers. Cut flowers are very expensive in Japan. Too expensive for this hotel. The final point is that I booked this specific hotel in order to take a swim. Although the weather was fine, the pool had closed the day before I arrived. The pool was still full of water, perfect and peaceful, but ”closed”. No doubt, this saves on staff and other expenses, in the same way that making up one's own futon does . . . all this is fine for a hostel, but not for a luxury hotel. I have been generous with my star-giving because I like to be kind, and because several of the staff were truly exceptional in their kindness and service, however, we hope that the management will note our comments. Please pay for more staff and please keep your pool open as long as the weather permits. Global warming means pools can stay open longer. :-)

Great stay in a very clean hotel typical of japanese business hotel. Perfect for solo traveller. Everything in room is well thought of. No aircon in winter. But there is window. Bus stop right in front of hotel will bring you to kone sannomiya train station ! Highly recommended.

The location is mentioned to be about 5 or 7 minutes from the station, depending on where you read about it. I think it's more like 8-10. It's not far, but not close enough to walk luggage comfortably. I want to give the place 5 stars, but I also want to give it 2 stars. The service was good. They helped shuttle us around through the rain. The lady that served our dinner was very patient and helpful. Unfortunately, there is a big problem. The room we received has no view of the Maruyama river or garden, although it is advertised as such in pictures and descriptions on website. Our rooms had a view of the parking lot and the road, which the front desk referred to as a ”mountain” view. I'm sorry, but this just isn't a good practice. You MUST make this as a different type of room with different price and let customers decide the value. I would not have booked if I had known this. There is also another small problem. The dinner was overall quite good, but I saw some other customers received different dinners with the full snow crab and sake. We received part of a snow crab and cheap white wine. I am confused. It would help to have an explanation. Otherwise I can't help but feel these problems are because I am not a Japanese customer.

Location：2 minutes walking distance from the station to the hotel-perfect！ Cleaness: The hotel maintains an exceptional level of cleanliness, a comfortable and hygienic environment.
