everything was very satisfactory. wish the stay could have been longer to experience all of the limited services during regular business hours.

My husband and I booked the King Deluxe, and upon inspecting the room, I can see that the furniture was not cleaned, it was old and dusty and had stains on it. The carpet looked like it hadn't been clean in years. The room had a bad smell to it, the bathroom area was pretty decent. I've stayed at Ameristar a few times, and I can honestly say, this was one of the worse experiences I had staying there. Ameristar PLEASE DO BETTER!

Check-in went smoothly, as well as the front desk person friendly, nice, and very helpful, also positive. He had a smile on his face the whole time and kept a smile on our faces. Our room was very clean , and the pillows were definitely a game changer. It was amazing, and we will be back again to check out the other room options that are here. We stayed in the sunset king room.

the stay here was unacceptable. they take your credit card to make sure you don't damage the room but they are damaged already and falling apart. make sure you take pictures of your room before your stay. after check in i went to the room and there were holes in the walls. shower curtain was broken and falling off. towel rack was falling off the wall as well. went to the front desk and nonchalantly said maintenance was going to come by and fix it and there were no other rooms available. while traveling there were no other options for me since i was visiting without paying really high premiums elsewhere last minute. went out to dinner and some of those items were fixed. they didn't fix the holes in the walls. 2nd day was even worse. was out most of the day and when i came back the ceiling above the AC had come down. some of it was in my open suitcase and clothes' i was furious. went to the front desk and the attendant was very occupied with a personal call and i asked multiple times for him to come look at it. after the 4th time of me going to to front desk and telling him i want him to do something he offered me a different room. he changed my room in the computer but didn't reprogram my key card. had me go down to check to see if they keys worked and they didn't so i had to go back up and have him reprogram them. while going up i ran into another visitor who was upset as well apparently he had just checked in with his wife and newborn and they had black mold in their room and wanted a different room. hesitantly i went back down after reprogramming and the room was musky and humid. smelled like mold as well. i dont know how this place stays open. i would highly NOT recommend this location.

Ok , can I just say that I have spent a lot of time in IHG hotels and this one was the best . Kena was the most inviting guest service representative when I checked in. She was so friendly and welcoming , even gave me my upgrade as an elite member. Don in the hospitality room saw us at the elevator and made sure we knew we were invited to join him for some cocktails . He is up for an award and after 10 years rocking his job , he deserves to win. Thank you both for making this trip 10 stars ❤️

Location in proximity to city attractions is amazing 5/5. Location in terms of safety is 2/5. There isn’t a covered secured lot for your car and I was approached by many people asking me for money while taking a walk around the building. Service is hit or miss. When I arrived, and attempted to open my car door, I was accosted by the valet who yelled at me and asked me what I was TRYING to do. I told him I was checking in to the hotel. And he was aggressively unpleasant, seemingly angry that I had arrived. Conversely, the valet attendant the next day was polite and wonderful. The front desk was nice but did not review any of the amenities nor offer any information about the hotel, which is a shame. Nice but inattentive and uninterested. The service at both Idol Wolf and Good Press were 5/5. The food at both were 5/5. The hotel itself is gorgeous. There’s art set in an old gym. The renovation is well done. Enjoyed it very much. The view from the room was also very nice. The room itself was standard with a few attention to detail things needing addressed. Such as broken handles and non working bathroom fixtures. Overall would recommend this hotel because it is unique. Big plus - they allow pets!!! Yes!

Apparently, even if you want your bed made, you must request it each day. It was written on one of the many pieces of paper they gave me and I missed it - my bad. Now, let's talk about the rooms. This was one of the worst rooms I've ever been in. I had booked a queen room and when I checked in, I was told I was upgraded to a king suite. They put me in a king handicapped room. It had a bathroom, a bed, 2 nightstands, a dresser and a chair. There was no table and there was no desk. I had to work while I was there and had no place to put my computer. Necessity is the mother of invention so I ended up putting my computer on the ironing board which I set-up next the only chair in the room. Speaking of work, the internet was down all of one of the days I was there. Additionally, at least one of the elevators wasn't working every day. I used the pool and it was very unpleasant. It looked like it hadn't been updated in decades and most of the tile trim was missing. The ”beach towels” they provided were more like hand towels. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - ever again. Stay away - far away.

Location = Great for the Arch Cleanliness = 6-day stay, but the room was only serviced 3 times, requiring us to flag down a room attendant so we could have clean towels, Sheets were only changed 1 time, and the bed was just remade. Also, there was a basketball-sized spot on the headboard that was worn through the leather into the padding. This can't be cleaned correctly and everyone's head touches it. Gross. Restaurants = convenient enough and you are charged for that convenience. Parking = Be Aware $48 per night valet, $32 self-park, offsite options, $20 per night with a couple of blocks walk. Overall = Taking parking into account if you can get this for $75 a night for a king room it's good, if not there are other better options for your money.

It is very clean and comfortable

This stay was one of the best experiences I've ever had, if not THE best. There's one thing that blind sided us that I have to mention for future guests, there is a $50 per night deposit fee, but of course you get it back upon checkout (unless you break stuff, then duh, you pay for it). Sure, the rooms are a little scuffed up, the hotel isn't completely updated, but that's what I liked about it. This plaza isn't all modernised like 90% of them nowadays, it has its ups and downs. But it gives the place charm. And I'm a 21yo woman! You'd think someone my age would want modernised, but quite the contrary. First of all, when we walked in we were greeted by amazing staff members who were patient with us when we transferred the funds needed into our bank accounts. After being checked in, we turned around and saw one of the most gorgeous lobbies you could ever see in somewhere like Missouri. The pictures they advertise doesn't do it justice! It feels like walking around in a mini resort. We asked to be put on the very top floor, but obviously since that was the penthouses they weren't available during my stay so we settled for the 11th floor (right below the penthouses). The view from our room inside the hotel and outside was phenomenal, there's a wonderful view of the city with a beautiful rustic old-timey balcony (which you can't access unfortunately, but I feel like if you could you would definitely get hurt). Looking down at the lobby felt like a dream with how spacious and unreal it looked. You could see the whole lobby, beautiful fountain, etc. It was amazing, not to mention the elevator is see through so you can see the whole place as you go up to your room. The atmosphere of this hotel was incredibly comforting as well. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating the entire time. When we had an issue trying to connect our Playstation to the TV, the maintenance man was up there knocking on our door to help within a minute of making the call to the front desk about it. There are 2 pools and one hot tub, and unfortunately the deeper pool was shut down (I don't remember what for, but I know it wasn't anything to worry about). However the maintenance man for the pool came in and let us help him retrieve things that sunk to the bottom of the deep pool, it felt like a side quest, lol. After helping him, he let us swim in the deep pool but made sure to let us know not to let anyone else in there. It felt so personal and like he really appreciated our help! That's all fine and dandy, however, the bar is the place to be in this plaza. It's a cozy area tucked in the corner after passing by little french-like tables to sit at by the windows to the pool (it felt like we were sitting in Paris next to a pond to be completely honest). When we got to the bar, we were immediately greeted by the most amazing, kind, fun bartender I have ever dealt with. His energy radiated and created a comfy place for me and my boyfriend to relax and sip on some drinks. Ever

The check in was very good, an agent with a spontaneous smile assigned us a very quiet room with a beautiful view. The super clean room, with everything you need, excellent bed, towels, amenities, we didn't have to request anything. Delicious dinner, reasonable price, convenient parking in the building, very good service.

Comfortable stay King room is roomy The Bar and grill is convenient but the menu is limited and the foods could be a lot better Airport pickup service was good make sure you ring up and get the type van colour etc

I’ve stayed here twice and both times I was just as impressed. It is definitely worth the money for the location and is a lot safer than some other conveniently located cheaper hotels! Loved the breakfast.

The hotel was very clean and located right where we wanted to be. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a shuttle service which took us wherever we wanted to go in a 1 mile radius.

Inginkan percutian hujung minggu dan ia adalah sempurna. Kakitangan yang sangat mesra, pancuran mandian adalah salah satu perkara kegemaran saya mengenainya, ia berada di lokasi utama. Satu-satunya perkara yang Dayton nilaikan lima bintang ialah sarapan pagi, dengan wabak yang kami fahami Buffay tidak tersedia, tetapi sarapan guni yang mereka sediakan ialah pisang dan muffin pisang, tiada minuman, bijirin, tiada yang lain. Selain daripada itu kami sangat menikmati diri kami sendiri.

Nice lobby and location. Rooms have balconies and patios. Rooms are from the 80s and are dingy. Breakfast is all carbs, bagel, muffin, waffle etc. A place to sleep.

Daniel Simpkens and Harvey were so kind and courteous at the valet station. Matthew treated us like royalty in the dining room. The smoked salmon club was so good. We indulged in a delicious bottle of red and topped of the night with some scrumptious sorbet. Front desk was pleasant and efficient. We loved our stay in a stylish setting.

a good hotel quite but not so good service as they charged me breakfast twice

The hotel is outdated and in dire need of a refurb. The rooms are dark and what hotel doesn’t have standard USB’s ? We are Hilton diamond members so breakfast was included. It’s served buffet style and I do have to say the bacon and fried potatoes were quite tasty. Just a warning they share the facility with an indoor atheistic club and they are not nice to hotel guests. We went to take our grand daughter who is 4 to the pool Saturday morning and and 5 ladies were in the shallow end and doing some aquatic class and the instructor ( I assume ) told us we had to either one stay out of the pool causing her to cry or 2 stay in the deep end where even as an adult was difficult to touch. Luckily she can swim so we stayed out of the old bitties way. I think the hotel needs to tell its guest this information to avoid let down by children. We went back again that night and it was regular hotel guests having fun. Also the men playing basketball were also fairly rude and acted like we were a bother just walking thru to get back to the hotel area. It’s an odd set up. Just want others to be aware.

All staff were super polite and helpful- room was lovely and very clean - food was fabulous! Room service was correct and prompt. Valet parking excellent. Check in and out were quick and efficient. Slept really well on the Heavenly Bed - no noise in the room at all!

We paid top dollar for this hotel--even paying for concierge level (all they had left) event though we have complimentary access to the concierge room as platinum members. Where to start with the feedback? The decor was dated, the pool needed some serious TLC, the pillows were flat as a pancake, and the service was not all it's cracked up to be. My colleague and I had a 9:00am meeting a few blocks away, so at 8:30 we called down to front desk to request check out, bag service, and valet for 8:50 departure, and we headed up to concierge for breakfast. We arrived to lobby at 8:50--they had not even gone to get the car or sent anyone up for our bags (20 minutes later). Everyone seemed flustered and had no idea what was going on. We are the owners of a business that typically chooses Marriott... but we're questioning that after this stay.

This hotel is not high on the traveler ranked list in Kansas City, but I was hoping that since it is a Hampton that we would find good accommodations. They weren't terrible, mind you, but so many things could be better! We didn't meet a single pleasant person working at the front desk and as is typical of most hotels today, they need to clean better. The breakfast provisions ran out fairly quickly and many things were not replenished. What was there early on was a typical Hampton breakfast, but adequate. Parking is $18/day and while the lot seems ok, you have to walk down the alley and across the street to get to it from the hotel. The best part of the hotel, in my opinion, is its location on the streetcar. It's a short trip to Union Station and Crown Center.

Dated overpriced hotel, many better deals to be had in the downtown KC area. After Marriott acquired Sheraton, they downgraded many members of Sheraton frequent guest program. As a result Gold members even the ones who ended up with lifetime Gold status receive very few benefits. Marriott points have very poor value to begin with. Gold status doesn’t even give you a free breakfast. In this hotel, it doesn’t even give you a free water. At least there was none in the room and no water was offered at check in. I had to find a CVS to get some drinking water. Elevator is weird. You’re supposed to choose your floor on the screen outside of elevator. There are no buttons in the elevator itself. The plaza in front of the hotel is being completely demolished and redesigned. No one tells you about that during the booking. The demolition work starts around 7AM and continues through the whole day, even on weekends. If you want to rest in the room bring the earplugs. Business center is a joke. It has one PC on the hall by ATM with no privacy whatsoever. I’ll stick with Hilton.
