飛び石連休でビジネスホテルが空きだったせいか安く泊まれました。設備は問題なし。少し水音が気になる時もあった。朝食は小さいソーセージとか焼き魚、ポテトサラダなどの盛り合わせで、希望すればのりや納豆もサービス。コーヒーや飲み物はセルフ、上げ下げはしてくれました。パン食もあるようです。エレベーターの前には貸し出し用ズボンプレッサーが置いてあり、パリッとしなければならない向きには便利そうです。周りは飲食店も多く地下鉄、新幹線も近い至便なところです。

This hotel is located a short walk from Sendai station, through Parco 2 and down Sendai morning market Street. There were so many food options close by we never had to go far for a delicious feed. The hotel itself has self check in machines that have an English option. They had lots of complimentary amenities on offer in the lobby including different types of teas, skincare products, hair products and bath products. The room itself is your typical business hotel. It was clean, had an all in one bathroom, small desk and air purified and humidifier. The bed was comfy and there was room under the bed to store smaller luggage items. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a convenient budget option

The hotel is located near Sendai station, just about 5 min. walk. However, the hotel sign is not prominent. For others hotel, you can see the hotel name at the top of the building and find them easily, this hotel you have to walk with gg map. The staff were not at the lobby when we checked out. And they have no luggage deposit service. There was a sign saying you can leave the luggages at the lobby but they are not responsible of it. (meaning, you can leave it, but if it’s lost, not our business)

Great hotel in a fantastic location within walking distance to JR central train station with limited car parking facilities directly behind the hotel and next to a local train station (which we forgot the name of the station as we rented a vehicle). If you drive to the hotel and decided to use the hotel car park (subject to availability), the hotel will charge you ¥1500.00 per night with unlimited entry and exit within the next 24 hours. Of course there are plenty of other car parks nearby too which offers cheaper rate for parking but you’ll have to hunt around or just pay the ¥1500 for the convenience. The onsen (indoor only no outdoor and the water is milky) is located on the 2nd floor which is the same floor with the hotel only restaurant which offers buffet breakfast. The gender separated onsen closes at midnight and won’t be opened till 9am the next day so you’ll need to time yourself well. There is a laundry and dryer self service facilities with vending machines and complimentary ice making machine on the 2nd floor for your convenience. Breakfast is a typical western and Japanese affairs however you won’t be left hungry. Service is of typical Japanese affairs where you will be greeted each time you walk past the reception. The hotel encourages you to pick up tea bags, onsen body scrubs, tooth brushes, combs etc next to the ground floor lifts before you head up to your room. If you stay more than a day but less than 3 days, the hotel won’t provide room service but they’ll gladly change the towels and clear the bins for you. We are allocated to a smallest room on 11th floor (room:1106) facing the Yodobashi multi story car park, so request for any middle rooms facing the train station would get you a bigger a better view. Comfortable stay and nice bed and good bathroom and for the price we pay, we have no complain.

Love the fact that it is just above Sendai station. Very convenient to drop off shopping bags when shopping around the area. Or to take trains to Yamagata or Matsushima for day trips. Room is clean, small but still can open 2 mid sized luggages.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was clean, and the location was very convenient for a weekend stay at Sendai. There are several convenience stores nearby and lots of restaurants and malls within a short walking distance. I hope that they can provide more pillows as a default standard. :D

仙台駅西口のアエルの先に立地、複数の大きなパッケージを転がして来るならペデストリアンデッキではなく仙台駅で地上階に降り、駅前通りの歩道を歩いてX橋を潜る方が楽。チェックイン・支払い共に有人対応、エレベーターはセンサーにルームキーをタッチさせ階ボタンを押すタイプ。シングルだが部屋はある程度広く圧迫感場ない、小さいが窓際にソファとデスクがある、デスクには電源コンセントとLANポートが、枕元には電源コンセントとUSBポートがある。壁にはテレビ、Wifiはダウン・アップ共に速度は良好、使い捨てスリッパが有難い。ホテルには大浴場は無いが部屋のバスタブは大き目。朝食会場は1階のレストランで一般的な和洋ビュッフェ。他に牛タンカレーや笹かま、豚肉と味噌の宮城芋煮などの郷土料理があった、我儘を言わせて貰えば長茄子漬けや三角油揚、ずんだ等も有ったら…久しぶりの宿泊でしたが快適に過ごせました。

We stayed one night for trip to Tohoku. Hotel was brand new and SO CLEAN! Location: Literally 3 min walk from station. If you have luggae, it's tricky: come out on 2nd floor, going through connected bridge and use elevator at PARCO then ground level and hotel is next door. Great location walk to everywhere, has beautiful starbucks downstairs. Morning market is right behind the hotel; we were hoping that we could get some breakfast early in am. When we went at 8am, not many stores were open yet. We were able to get local strawberries for decent price and it was really good. Room: Got Relax Twin Room. Has electric massage chair in room with corner views. Views were not that great but room was very spacious, hollywood twins. Separate tub/shower and vanity was very nice, very nice decor. Coin Laundry: This hotel has coin laundry (all-in-one with dryer) and that's the reason why we stayed. We were able to see if Washer is in use or not with room TV which was GREAT. I felt we could have stayed other 2 nights (stayed at Metropolitan East due to its location) at Daiwa, it was very nice stay. Brand new, clean hotel in great location and great rates. I'd go back again next time next time!

Hotel is conveniently located near to shops and train station, making it easy to travel around and get your food/souvenirs. Furniture are well-maintained. Bathtub is small but deep enough for one to soak after a day of shopping and sightseeing.

みやぎ宿泊割プランを利用し仙台に小旅行。ネットで安価なプランを発見し予約。選んだホテルがダイワロイネットホテル仙台一番町。しかも2020年3月に開業した比較的新しいホテルです。一泊朝食で4500円、しかも2000円分のクーポンも付きます。 チェックインは、ロイネットの利用履歴が反映し簡略化。これは、毎度のことながら助かります。 部屋は、8階のモデレートツイン、眼下には広瀬通りの銀杏並木が拝めます。窓も大きく開放感を感じました。ベッドは比較的硬め、枕元にはコンセントとUSB完備と便利。また、デスクも大きく、オカムラ製のチェアの座り心地が抜群。バスルームとトイレがわかれており、バスは、丸みを帯びたもの、シャワーには、レインシャワーも使えます。 朝食は、1階のレストランにて。和食、洋食用意されたブュッフェスタイル。満足できるレベル。意外にリンゴジュースが美味。 1階にはローソンが営業、助かりました。 幹線道路沿いの為、少々車のノイズが気になりますが、利用したいホテルです。

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It was clean, and the location was very convenient for a weekend stay at Sendai. There are several convenience stores nearby and lots of restaurants and malls within a short walking distance. I hope that they can provide more pillows as a default standard. :D

高台にあるから眺めが良く、立地的にも、松島海岸駅からすぐ近い。 とは言え、かなりの傾斜を上がるので、電車で来た私たちは、シャトルバスを利用。 この大観荘のシャトルバスは、松島観光中心部を経由して、ほぼ一日中循環していているからありがたいです。 ロビーは広々しています。 質問があって若いスタッフに声をかけると、「研修員」の名札をつけていました。 一緒に、その上司であろう人がいましたが、研修員に対応させ見守っている様子が、なんとも和やかに感じました。 同じ感覚が、夕食の時間にも。 男性の上司が（確か名札は菊池さん）が、若いスタッフを連れて、テーブルへの案内やブッフェの説明をするのですが、私たち客に対してだけでなく、研修員にも親切で感じが良い。 この上司の下だったら頑張ろうって気になるし、本来のサービス業とは、なんぞやを学べるのでは、と思いました。 ホテル（旅館）の格付けに関わらず、良いホテルは従業員の教育が徹底しているだけでなく、いかに客に心地よいサービスを提供できるかにあると思います。 泊まったのは、海側和洋室。 古い旅館で年季が入っているんだろうな、と不安でしたが、リノベートしたらしく、思ったより綺麗で広さも十分でした。 松島湾を臨むパノラマヴューも申し分なし。 冷蔵庫は空で、お水のボトルはありませんでした。 残念。自動販売機でお水は160円。 トイレ、バスルームは別で、綺麗でした。 館内着はクロゼットに浴衣がサイズ豊富に揃っていました。 大浴場は、温泉ではなく沸かし湯で残念ですが、浅めのインフィニティ露天風呂は気持ちがよく、松島湾を一望でき良かったです。 男性用、女性用と朝晩入れ替わらないので、景色は男女ともほぼ同じなのでしょう。 サウナはありませんでした。 夕食はブッフェにしては具材が良く、期待以上の充実したディナーでした。 切り分けて頂いたローストビーフは、お上品に薄く一枚とかじゃなく、ドンとサービス精神良し。 火が通り過ぎてる？と思ったけど、柔らかくて美味しかったです。 松島なので蒸牡蠣やカキフライも。 そして大ぶりの海老チリソースも良かった。 お刺身は、まあまあ。 ちょうど苺フェアをしていて、デザートは苺三昧で嬉しかったです。 反面、朝食はイマイチ、というか、まあ一般的。 お値段以上の滞在でした。ありがとうございます。 The hotel is on top of the hill over looking Matsushima Bay. The panorama view is just wonderful. The location is close to Matsushima Kaigan station, however, since it is quite a steep climb. If you come by train, I suggest you to take a complimentary shuttle bus provided by the hotel which runs through the Matsushima tourist area almost all day long. The lobby is spacious. When I had a question and approached a young staff member, she was wearing a name tag that read ”trainee.” and she was with her boss. I felt a pleasant feeling that her boss was watching over her with smile and kind manner. The same feeling happened at dinner time. The male boss (I believe his name tag is Mr. Kikuchi) with the young staff lead us to the tables and explains the buffet. He is kind and considerate not only to us customers, but also to the trainees as well. Being trained under this boss would likely understands what a customer service industry is like. Regardless of the rating of the hotel (inn), I believe that a good hotel not only has thorough employee training, but also the ability to provide considerate service to guests. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room facing the sea. I was worried that the inn would be outdated, but it seemed like it had been renovated, and it was much nicer and spacious than I expected. The panoramic view overlooking Matsushima Bay is also perfect. The fridge was empty and there were no water bottles. disappointing., though. Water from the vending machine costs 160 yen. The toilet and bathroom were separate and clean. As for in-house wear, there was a closet stocked with yukata in a wide variety of sizes. The public bath has boiling water rather than a hot spring, but the shallow infinity open-air bath was pleasant and had a great view of Matsushima Bay. Since the men's and women's bath facility do not change in the morning and evening, the scenery is probably the same for both men and women. There was no sauna. Dinner had good ingredients for a buf

自家用車の場合国道45号線沿いに仙台および石巻からは約25km、気仙沼から約100kmの場所に位置し、鉄道の場合はJR東北本線松島駅から徒歩で約20分、またはJR仙石線松島海岸駅から徒歩で約15分、ともに事前予約すれば最寄駅からの送迎もある。 ホテルから徒歩5分以内の場所に福浦橋（福浦島への桟橋）、観光船乗り場、瑞巌寺などがあり松島観光の拠点になる。 ホテルの建物は国道に面しているが、入口は国道から海側へ入った路地の奥にあり、観光案内版の通りに歩けば問題なくたどり着ける。 建物は海岸線と国道の間にあり崖に沿うように位置していることから、少し複雑な構造をしていて高低差があるものの、段差のあるところは必ずといっていいほどスロープが設置されておりバリアフリーに配慮された内装となっている。 ホテルそのものは歴史があり建物の外観はやはり古さを感じるものの、内部は清潔に保たれておりシングルの宿泊部屋は広くゆったり過ごすことができる。 また大浴場および露天風呂もあり、松島温泉は2000年を過ぎてから採掘された比較的新しい天然温泉だそうで、浴槽は2段階の温度が設定されている（サウナもあるが諸事情により2022年現在休止中）。 今回は新幹線で仙台着が夜遅くだったので朝食のみのプランだったが、朝食バイキングは和洋食種類が豊富にあり、また一部テーブルは仕切りがあり周囲を気にせずゆっくりいただけることができてよかった。 夜遅い時間帯のチェックインにもかかわらずクーポン券発行などていねいに接客していただき、また夜21時ころまでロビーにて宿泊客無料のドリンクバーが開放されていてとても助かった。 仙台駅周辺のホテルは最近特に宿泊料金が高いので、大浴場や夕朝食付きでリーズナブルに宿泊できるということで、観光以外にビジネス目的の利用にも最適なホテルだと感じた。

Best view in the Matsushima bay. The reception staff can almost always speak very good English, if not they are very helpful nonetheless. Amazing dinner and breakfast, with a superb view of the sunset with our welcome tea and snack when we checked in. The room is beautiful and comfortable. The private onsen provides a prime viewing spot. It is definitely with the splurge!

I email the hotel as there are free transportation. No email replied. Call in internationally, no one understood a single English I have said. Had to ask whoever Japanese stranger to help me call the hotel for pick at JR Matsushima station. Bought the room with dinner and breakfast . Had terrible dissatisfaction and disappointment for getting a bento box for an onsen hotel 😤 and it’s not cheap the room. Besides onsen and staff tried really best to accommodate me with not knowing English. Nothing are great about this property even I’m still staying in for the night

The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower. The 'set meals' are a little strange for Western habits in that a full menu is offered but is selective as you need to present at a chefs station to have your dish prepared. The nominally western menu was still quite unusual and the Japanese typically such. As the menu does not change night to night, you may find yourself wanting a change by the 4th night. There is no meal service at lunchtime, so you need to prepare, either by taking a trip out, or by finding something light at the nearby 7/11 as any other restaurants are a good 20 minutes walk away.

Title: A Disappointing Stay at Sendai's 大江户温泉物語松島温泉壯觀酒店 I recently had the misfortune of staying at the 大江户温泉物語松島温泉壯觀酒店 in Sendai, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel was not up to par with my expectations. First and foremost, the location of the hotel was rather lackluster. Situated in Sendai, I had hoped for a scenic and picturesque view of the surrounding area, but instead, I was greeted with a rather uninspiring landscape. The hotel's proximity to attractions and amenities was also quite inconvenient, as it required a fair amount of travel to reach any notable destinations. The staff at the hotel were far from friendly or accommodating. Their lackadaisical attitude and indifference towards the guests were disappointing, to say the least. Requests for assistance or information were met with apathy, leaving me feeling ignored and unimportant. It is evident that the staff lacked the proper training in customer service and hospitality. The accommodations themselves were subpar and in dire need of renovation. My room was outdated, with worn-out furnishings and a general sense of neglect. The cleanliness standards were questionable, and I encountered several maintenance issues throughout my stay. The lack of attention to detail and upkeep was simply unacceptable. In terms of dining options, the hotel fell short yet again. The on-site restaurant served mediocre food with limited choices. The quality of the meals was average at best, failing to impress even the most casual of diners. The lack of variety and flavor left me disappointed and longing for better culinary experiences. Furthermore, the overall ambiance of the hotel was lacking. The atmosphere was dull and devoid of any character or charm. The common areas felt neglected and poorly maintained, further contributing to the overall sense of dissatisfaction. In conclusion, my experience at the 大江户温泉物語松島温泉壯觀酒店 was far from satisfactory. The lackluster location, indifferent staff, outdated accommodations, underwhelming dining options, and overall lack of care and attention to detail made for an unenjoyable stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and memorable experience in Sendai.

Had a lovely stay at Daimatsuso. The hotel is very conveniently located beside Matsushima Kaigan station. The building was old but well maintained and clean, with separate male and female onsens for guests. The dinner was excellent and served in room, overall a very good value compared to other ryokans in the area

For me, walking distance to the main part of town is most important. It is close enough to walk, but the hotel is over a pedestrian bridge and up a steep hill; rolling luggage is possible but not recommended. This is a safe walk if you plan to see the sunrise. They have a van which will take you to (and from, I think- I didn't try) the train station on demand, which is great. It's very possible that I was the only non-Japanese person staying at this hotel, really more of a resort. Shoes come off at the entrance and stay there overnight (slippers are provided). The room was huge, with the kind of mattress I am used to in the US, and there was a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a buffet Japanese breakfast, and the items were labeled, which I appreciated because the labels can be run through a translator. I stayed on a weeknight and the clientele at breakfast at 7am was elderly. Sometimes in Japan there are problems with the smell of cigarette smoke- not a problem here. Both the Japanese and foreign staff were helpful. There is a small area at the front offering non-refrigerated snacks and souvenirs. I did not try the dinner.

Dinner and breakfast were included and was very good. Quiet location near Matsushimakaigen Station.

高台にあるから眺めが良く、立地的にも、松島海岸駅からすぐ近い。 とは言え、かなりの傾斜を上がるので、電車で来た私たちは、シャトルバスを利用。 この大観荘のシャトルバスは、松島観光中心部を経由して、ほぼ一日中循環していているからありがたいです。 ロビーは広々しています。 質問があって若いスタッフに声をかけると、「研修員」の名札をつけていました。 一緒に、その上司であろう人がいましたが、研修員に対応させ見守っている様子が、なんとも和やかに感じました。 同じ感覚が、夕食の時間にも。 男性の上司が（確か名札は菊池さん）が、若いスタッフを連れて、テーブルへの案内やブッフェの説明をするのですが、私たち客に対してだけでなく、研修員にも親切で感じが良い。 この上司の下だったら頑張ろうって気になるし、本来のサービス業とは、なんぞやを学べるのでは、と思いました。 ホテル（旅館）の格付けに関わらず、良いホテルは従業員の教育が徹底しているだけでなく、いかに客に心地よいサービスを提供できるかにあると思います。 泊まったのは、海側和洋室。 古い旅館で年季が入っているんだろうな、と不安でしたが、リノベートしたらしく、思ったより綺麗で広さも十分でした。 松島湾を臨むパノラマヴューも申し分なし。 冷蔵庫は空で、お水のボトルはありませんでした。 残念。自動販売機でお水は160円。 トイレ、バスルームは別で、綺麗でした。 館内着はクロゼットに浴衣がサイズ豊富に揃っていました。 大浴場は、温泉ではなく沸かし湯で残念ですが、浅めのインフィニティ露天風呂は気持ちがよく、松島湾を一望でき良かったです。 男性用、女性用と朝晩入れ替わらないので、景色は男女ともほぼ同じなのでしょう。 サウナはありませんでした。 夕食はブッフェにしては具材が良く、期待以上の充実したディナーでした。 切り分けて頂いたローストビーフは、お上品に薄く一枚とかじゃなく、ドンとサービス精神良し。 火が通り過ぎてる？と思ったけど、柔らかくて美味しかったです。 松島なので蒸牡蠣やカキフライも。 そして大ぶりの海老チリソースも良かった。 お刺身は、まあまあ。 ちょうど苺フェアをしていて、デザートは苺三昧で嬉しかったです。 反面、朝食はイマイチ、というか、まあ一般的。 お値段以上の滞在でした。ありがとうございます。 The hotel is on top of the hill over looking Matsushima Bay. The panorama view is just wonderful. The location is close to Matsushima Kaigan station, however, since it is quite a steep climb. If you come by train, I suggest you to take a complimentary shuttle bus provided by the hotel which runs through the Matsushima tourist area almost all day long. The lobby is spacious. When I had a question and approached a young staff member, she was wearing a name tag that read ”trainee.” and she was with her boss. I felt a pleasant feeling that her boss was watching over her with smile and kind manner. The same feeling happened at dinner time. The male boss (I believe his name tag is Mr. Kikuchi) with the young staff lead us to the tables and explains the buffet. He is kind and considerate not only to us customers, but also to the trainees as well. Being trained under this boss would likely understands what a customer service industry is like. Regardless of the rating of the hotel (inn), I believe that a good hotel not only has thorough employee training, but also the ability to provide considerate service to guests. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room facing the sea. I was worried that the inn would be outdated, but it seemed like it had been renovated, and it was much nicer and spacious than I expected. The panoramic view overlooking Matsushima Bay is also perfect. The fridge was empty and there were no water bottles. disappointing., though. Water from the vending machine costs 160 yen. The toilet and bathroom were separate and clean. As for in-house wear, there was a closet stocked with yukata in a wide variety of sizes. The public bath has boiling water rather than a hot spring, but the shallow infinity open-air bath was pleasant and had a great view of Matsushima Bay. Since the men's and women's bath facility do not change in the morning and evening, the scenery is probably the same for both men and women. There was no sauna. Dinner had good ingredients for a buf

自家用車の場合国道45号線沿いに仙台および石巻からは約25km、気仙沼から約100kmの場所に位置し、鉄道の場合はJR東北本線松島駅から徒歩で約20分、またはJR仙石線松島海岸駅から徒歩で約15分、ともに事前予約すれば最寄駅からの送迎もある。 ホテルから徒歩5分以内の場所に福浦橋（福浦島への桟橋）、観光船乗り場、瑞巌寺などがあり松島観光の拠点になる。 ホテルの建物は国道に面しているが、入口は国道から海側へ入った路地の奥にあり、観光案内版の通りに歩けば問題なくたどり着ける。 建物は海岸線と国道の間にあり崖に沿うように位置していることから、少し複雑な構造をしていて高低差があるものの、段差のあるところは必ずといっていいほどスロープが設置されておりバリアフリーに配慮された内装となっている。 ホテルそのものは歴史があり建物の外観はやはり古さを感じるものの、内部は清潔に保たれておりシングルの宿泊部屋は広くゆったり過ごすことができる。 また大浴場および露天風呂もあり、松島温泉は2000年を過ぎてから採掘された比較的新しい天然温泉だそうで、浴槽は2段階の温度が設定されている（サウナもあるが諸事情により2022年現在休止中）。 今回は新幹線で仙台着が夜遅くだったので朝食のみのプランだったが、朝食バイキングは和洋食種類が豊富にあり、また一部テーブルは仕切りがあり周囲を気にせずゆっくりいただけることができてよかった。 夜遅い時間帯のチェックインにもかかわらずクーポン券発行などていねいに接客していただき、また夜21時ころまでロビーにて宿泊客無料のドリンクバーが開放されていてとても助かった。 仙台駅周辺のホテルは最近特に宿泊料金が高いので、大浴場や夕朝食付きでリーズナブルに宿泊できるということで、観光以外にビジネス目的の利用にも最適なホテルだと感じた。

Best view in the Matsushima bay. The reception staff can almost always speak very good English, if not they are very helpful nonetheless. Amazing dinner and breakfast, with a superb view of the sunset with our welcome tea and snack when we checked in. The room is beautiful and comfortable. The private onsen provides a prime viewing spot. It is definitely with the splurge!

I email the hotel as there are free transportation. No email replied. Call in internationally, no one understood a single English I have said. Had to ask whoever Japanese stranger to help me call the hotel for pick at JR Matsushima station. Bought the room with dinner and breakfast . Had terrible dissatisfaction and disappointment for getting a bento box for an onsen hotel 😤 and it’s not cheap the room. Besides onsen and staff tried really best to accommodate me with not knowing English. Nothing are great about this property even I’m still staying in for the night

The room (I had the basic level option) was gigantic for Japan, with a huge picture window and a view to die for. To say I was blown away upon arrival would be an understatement. The hotel is spacious and uncrowded. I suspect it caters almost exclusively to the Japanese market so some instructions were on rather informal notes, or simply only in Japanese. The rate is breakfast and dinner included but also includes unlimited alcohol from 7pm and coffee/tea/refreshments all day with an icecream bar in the late morning and afternoon. The silence and sleep quality was superb as was the bathroom with shower. The 'set meals' are a little strange for Western habits in that a full menu is offered but is selective as you need to present at a chefs station to have your dish prepared. The nominally western menu was still quite unusual and the Japanese typically such. As the menu does not change night to night, you may find yourself wanting a change by the 4th night. There is no meal service at lunchtime, so you need to prepare, either by taking a trip out, or by finding something light at the nearby 7/11 as any other restaurants are a good 20 minutes walk away.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel was not up to par with my expectations. First and foremost, the location of the hotel was rather lackluster. Situated in Sendai, I had hoped for a scenic and picturesque view of the surrounding area, but instead, I was greeted with a rather uninspiring landscape. The hotel's proximity to attractions and amenities was also quite inconvenient, as it required a fair amount of travel to reach any notable destinations. The staff at the hotel were far from friendly or accommodating. Their lackadaisical attitude and indifference towards the guests were disappointing, to say the least. Requests for assistance or information were met with apathy, leaving me feeling ignored and unimportant. It is evident that the staff lacked the proper training in customer service and hospitality. The accommodations themselves were subpar and in dire need of renovation. My room was outdated, with worn-out furnishings and a general sense of neglect. The cleanliness standards were questionable, and I encountered several maintenance issues throughout my stay. The lack of attention to detail and upkeep was simply unacceptable. In terms of dining options, the hotel fell short yet again. The on-site restaurant served mediocre food with limited choices. The quality of the meals was average at best, failing to impress even the most casual of diners. The lack of variety and flavor left me disappointed and longing for better culinary experiences. Furthermore, the overall ambiance of the hotel was lacking. The atmosphere was dull and devoid of any character or charm. The common areas felt neglected and poorly maintained, further contributing to the overall sense of dissatisfaction. In conclusion, my experience at the 大江户温泉物語松島温泉壯觀酒店 was far from satisfactory. The lackluster location, indifferent staff, outdated accommodations, underwhelming dining options, and overall lack of care and attention to detail made for an unenjoyable stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a pleasant and memorable experience in Sendai.

Had a lovely stay at Daimatsuso. The hotel is very conveniently located beside Matsushima Kaigan station. The building was old but well maintained and clean, with separate male and female onsens for guests. The dinner was excellent and served in room, overall a very good value compared to other ryokans in the area

For me, walking distance to the main part of town is most important. It is close enough to walk, but the hotel is over a pedestrian bridge and up a steep hill; rolling luggage is possible but not recommended. This is a safe walk if you plan to see the sunrise. They have a van which will take you to (and from, I think- I didn't try) the train station on demand, which is great. It's very possible that I was the only non-Japanese person staying at this hotel, really more of a resort. Shoes come off at the entrance and stay there overnight (slippers are provided). The room was huge, with the kind of mattress I am used to in the US, and there was a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a buffet Japanese breakfast, and the items were labeled, which I appreciated because the labels can be run through a translator. I stayed on a weeknight and the clientele at breakfast at 7am was elderly. Sometimes in Japan there are problems with the smell of cigarette smoke- not a problem here. Both the Japanese and foreign staff were helpful. There is a small area at the front offering non-refrigerated snacks and souvenirs. I did not try the dinner.
